Mimi In A Minute #7 ~ I Did Not Have Tic Tacs With That Woman!

These things keep me up at night. They give me a headache.
I just need sixty seconds of your time to unclog my pencil brain so that I can get some sleep.
Do you mind? I have a few things to say.
This is Mimi unplugged.
Hide your children.

Senator Roland Burris from trouble-laden Chicago:
Just stop talking. Please. Just. Stop. Talking.

To every inch of Ad space on the Internet: Jennifer Anniston is 40. We heard. ENOUGH! We know how old she is now. Oh. My. Lord. Can we just move on?

FACEBOOK and no privacy?
Bwahhahhhahah
That's news?

The nightly snooze news: If you don't stop telling us how bad the economy is we're all going to be forced to funnel our money into Dunkin' Donuts. At least we can see the hole our cash fell into.

Congress: Somebody bail Beyonce out of that dress.

To I-Knew-We-Weren't-Taking 'Tic-Tacs-A-Rod:

One more time. Did you, or did you not, have Tic Tacs in that box?

"But Mimi! I knew potentially it could be something that was wrong......I was 22/23 years old.
I was youn
g and stupid."

I say that every time I write a blog post. Now give me a Tic Tac and stop whining.

Tatiana:
The singing gods have spoken.
But if you're in the market for a dress - and it looks like you are - Beyonce has one you can borrow.

To the United States government's proposal to buy more of Citigroup:
If you want to stabilize the market, buy performance enhancing breath mints from Latin America.

A hearty thank you to the person who sent the email disguised as a Christian greeting card. Bless you for spreading the lovely virus clinging on for dear life. We've bonded. Hallelujah.

New American Idol Judge Cara Whatever:
Please stop screaming in the microphone.
It's so unattractive.

Senator Burris: But if you must go on......and on. Use this line. Repeat after me:
"I was 71 and stupid."
(but don't scream)

Chris Brown:
I love your rhythm and blues.
I hate your black and blues.

Girlfriend Rhiannon:Stop dating Chris Brown or learn to duck.

Middle school students fighting and posting it on YouTube: Take the New York Post stance and call it a day - "To those who were offended by this image, we apologize."

And finally to the ......

who published the dead monkey cartoon which is too offensive to display here:
It was. It is. It will always be. Racist.

*******
Whew! I feel better. Thanks for listening.
Sixty seconds flew by. I think my blogsomnia is cured.
Lights out.

Tic Tac anyone?

Fish Girl - Just one?

I have read intensely on the Chicago politcal machine ... it is like reading some kind of mafia fiction. Unbelievable!!

Chris B ... no sympathy

Spammy emails? ARGGGGGGG !!!!! Why do people forward everything all the time. I may have to spam block some of my OWN contacts. LOL

Hope you did not catch a cold Mimi.

Hey, even Brown's album has pain on it. He's giving us truth in advertising.

They are finally getting over A-Rod in the sports world but it sure has tainted his image. All politicians in Illinois should be fired. They really should just start all over again.

What was the Post thinking with that cartoon!?!?!? I mean are they that dumb?

I'm with you on Beyonce's dress.
Well spoken about the latest news. And to think no one would listen to Jose about "roids"? It is disturbing that my favorite game is full of controversary. "Say it ain't so Joe."

Have a great day and I hope you get some sleep. P.S. Don't watch the news or read those dreadful newspapers, just sing yourself to sleep! get some zzzzz's

Both of those dresses are hideous.

New York Post... WTH were they thinking?

Mojo said...

Jennifer Anniston's 40?

Wow.

Who knew?

Unknown said...

Amen to all that! Although I might add stronger words when it comes to men beating women. The snowed-in, claustrophobic winter my son was eleven, he made one move toward head-butting his sister the way he did his friends. I told him testing his muscle against his little sister's ranked with cannibalism--most animals just don't do that.

Eric - A former boyfriend was from Chicago. Italian. Oh the tales.....I totally believe you.

Mimi Lenox said...

But I must add that I'm sure all Chicagoans are not of Mafia ilk. There is bad everywhere.

Mimi Lenox said...

Charles - How observant!

Mimi Lenox said...

Julie - It wasn't you.....please don't stop sending cards!

Mimi Lenox said...

Pam - But....but...if I don't watch the news or read the papers how will I know about pencil skirt sales? Hmm???

The Gal Herself said...

My favorite? "I was 71 and stupid." Thanks for covering the Burris saga for me. I don't have the energy anymore. (BTW, did you know his son and daughter are named Roland and Rolanda? No shit!)

Mimi Lenox said...

Summer - It was appalling! (I'm talking New York Post here, but the dresses were a close second)

Mimi Lenox said...

Mojo - Very funny, wiseguy...

Mimi Lenox said...

Michelle - Why, thank you!

Mimi Lenox said...

Kathleen - Ouch. I'll bet he never did that again!

Mimi Lenox said...

Gal - Please tell me they're not seeking public office.

Wow. I have to wonder where I've been. I have no idea what some of this is about. Blissfully uninformed.

Mark said...

Leno or Letteman should hire you! You are amazing!

Bud Fisher said...

You are top of your game today fer sur'! Very, very funny stuff...

Mimi Lenox said...

Autumn - In this case, ignorance is bliss...

Mimi Lenox said...

Mark - Please send them my blog. (thank you)

Mimi Lenox said...

Bud - I learned a few trips from the master spoofer. Just a few.

Smorg said...

Ya' should have a rant more often, Mimi. It's a beautiful thing to peruse! :o) Thanks for the Tic-Tac, too!

Hello Mimi, I am stopping by from Tammy @ Mom Knows Everything and I am so glad that I did!

This was a great posts! I have not seen the NY Post that you speak of am from what you say, I am glad I have not. Yes, the dresses are baaaaad! Hope you got some good sleep!

Linda said...

If these are the thoughts that you keep you awake at night I'm going to suggest that perhaps you start having yourself a small nightcap before you hit the pillow at night so that these things will go away as they are all the stuff that bad dreams are made of!!

Durward Discussion said...

Maybe your pencil skirt needs a mermaid fluff at the bottom.

Sandee said...

Well, you pretty much said everything I've been thinking of late. I'd not seen Beyonce' dress though. Lord. Just Lord.

Thanks for the laughs and a couple of tears (Burris) too.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. ;)

Mimi Lenox said...

Smorg - I've never had my rant called "beautiful" before. Thanks! I love doing them!

Mimi Lenox said...

Toni - Welcome! I have a weird sense of humor sometimes. I'm glad you like my blog. Please come back!

Mimi Lenox said...

Linda - Truly!

Mimi Lenox said...

Jamie - I think so too!

Mimi Lenox said...

Sandee - The world is a strange and fascinating place sometimes, isn't it?

Travis Cody said...

I apologize to anyone who was offended? Should those who were offended apologize for being offended?

WTF??

Maybe the designer of Beyonce's dress will apologize to everyone who didn't understand the vision behind the creation of the dress.

Not only is Jennifer Anniston 40, but she doesn't have any wrinkles either... I know, cuz Facebook told me!
