Saturday 9 ~ Return To Sender
1. When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper and mailed it?
This question makes me long for the days many many years ago when I wrote long letters to someone I loved - and mailed them. Receiving letters from him? Magic. I'll start now..I have some catching up to do. Good therapy. I miss feeling that connection with someone.
But I won't mail them....
2. Can you change the oil on a car?
Cars have oil?
3. Name three things you have on you at all times.
Skin, hair, molecules...OK. I'll be serious. My camera, my phone, and a peace globe in my pocket just in case I run into the President Bush, Obama or McCain. By far, my camera is most important. For further proof read The Dressing Room Disaster (Queen Unzipped), The Dishwasher Disaster (Queen On Testosterone) and The Dating Disaster (Queen Latrine)
E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E. means everywhere.
4. What’s your life motto?
Never Forget Thy Camera.
5. What’s a word that you say a lot?
Seriously.
Seriously!
6. What were you doing at midnight last night?
Talking to a tall, cute, intelligent guy who tends to keep me up all hours lately. But somehow I don't mind. And no, I didn't have my camera for that conversation. It's private!! Must you question me so? Can a Queen have no privacy???!!! Really!
7. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?
I need a new hairdresser. She took an inch off my hair when I requested a 1/2 inch. I hate it when that happens! Good thing it grows fast or I'd really be miffed. Next time I'll tell her to cut a millimeter and bring a PowerPoint presentation for demonstration purposes.
I should never fall asleep in the salon chair again.
8. Who is your worst enemy?
At the moment, my hairdresser.
9. What does your watch look like?
I don't wear watches and I hate clocks. Especially cuckoo clocks and school bells. Here's one weird fact about me: On the weekends, I actually unplug my alarm clock and take it off the nightstand. Weekends are free time and unaffected by time restraints. I don't want to be reminded that I must do this and I must do that and I have to be somewhere on time...yada yada yada. I have enough of that stress during the week. Time for bubble baths and no schedules.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll going to write a letter to the cute guy, The Salon Complaint Department and The White House. In longhand....I'm still trying to get a peace globe to Capitol Hill.
Surprisingly, they are ignoring my emails....

Bubble baths....mmmmmm
Have a great Saturday!
Kwiz I had one last night. It was wonderful.
I had to say "Hi" to a fellow Mimi!
I love what you do to the clocks on the weekend. Good for you, I so remember. I don't wear a watch anymore either. I just don't care.
Honey, I know you love the little one, but you need to find a tall, dark handsome man to be with after midnight. Just saying.
Have a great weekend sweetie. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)
I don't write many letters but I love sending notes and cards. I always write a meaningful saying or a few lines about the family and pups. It is a lost art.
MIMI! - Sorry for shouting...I will be right over to greet you. Welcome to Bloggingham Palace. Are you a Queen too?
Sandee - Ummm...You misunderstood. I was talking to tall handsome man last night at midnight(not Baby Boy). And that's all I'm sayin' bout that.
Hugs back to you, my friend.
Queen - I have lots and lots of stationery. I collect notepads and pens and writing paper. I really need to actually use it more and stop relying so much on emails and messenger. It is a lost art....takes patience and time.
I loved reading this.
Had a hairdresser like that too. Never went back, because I could do better myself.
Have a great sunday and when you have time, I have the answers on my blog too.
Laane - Thanks for dropping in. It's really not that bad...I'm just very particular about my hair. It's still long. You know how it feels so weird after a cut? She usually does better. I think she was engaged in a conversation with someone and that always makes her lose her focus a bit.
I say seriously a lot too! LOL
I have always hated school bells, they are rather annoying.
What an awesome idea about unplugging the alarm clock. My hubby works weekends...if he didn't need it to get up & he had off, I would do the same thing. I think more people should follow that. Good thinking!!!
Does it count if you write the letter on the computer, print it out and mail it? If so, I wrote three letters to my youngest son while he was in basic training for the Navy.
Shannon - They are sooo annoying! Brrrnnngg! Brrnnnnggg!
Jodi - It's a psychological thing...but it helps me relax.
Lee - I'd say that definitely counts. How is he doing?
I like writing letters! In longhand. I really enjoyed your post.
Seriously... do you suppose we could hijack whitehouse.gov long enough to get a peace globe on there?
Meet at midnight... I'll be the tall man wearing two watches.
*wink*
Oh I miss receiving and writing letters on paper. The smell of ink and paper are just delicious.
I joined swap-bot and that has got my letter writing going again.
Love your photos.
Wish I could never forget my camera!!!
I haven't written a letter in longhand for a looooonnnnnggggg time but I have been typing numerous emails and letters (to post) to the people that run this sad country of mine since my son's brush with knife crime.
I'm not sure when it started... but seriously has crept in my vocabulary of late and it's seriously annnoying my Chicklet!
Being awake with a tall, dark and handsome man at midnight is a seriously wondrous thing!
Oh... and I found out cars also have coolant and transmission fluid too (whatever that does)...
Forgetfulone - I think my life would be simpler if I took time for simple things like that.
My dear friend Lizza - Ahhh....the smell...yes....
Webradio - You're not a spammer are ya? Cause in my old (blog)age I've learned to be direct. Do you know I have a dungeon....? Just askin'.
Not a spammer? Not a problem.
Otherwise,no no and no....
Simone - That sounds like a wonderful thing to do!
Akelamalu - I know how traumatized you were when this happened. How is he doing? I am so proud of you for pushing the petition and speaking out.
Anndi - Being awake (or asleep for that matter) at midnight with a tall dark handsome man IS a seriously wonderful thing. Are we on the same wavelength here today, my friend? We usually are....
Mojo - Wink duly noted. Is this Match.com?
But seriously and seriously you might have a good idea about the website except there's just one problem with security which could be easily solved if we take you-know-who along with us for protection.
You've got a date.
Midnight it is.
Don't forget to rewind....
(wink)
I'm a seriously abuser, too. It's just so darn useful, though.
We are.. and there will be something for you on Tuesday :)
I liuke letter writing.
Kwiz - It is useful for a lot of things!
Anndi - Can't wait and Happy Thanksgiving in Canada! I hope you are having a wonderful day.
Jean-Luc - So do I. Thanks for commenting.
I love it when you do a meme.
So, I finally get to know a little bit about the lovely Mimi!!! I am going to have to spend some time reading through your archives this weekend, you have such a wonderful blog here! I also love your Queen Mimi playing the piano! That has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen :)
Hope you are well and having a lovely week!
Warmest regards ~ Graham :)
Miss Julie, my friend - I love doing them and being "pencil skirt"...it's an affliction...(giggling)
Graham - I'm so glad our blog paths crossed. Your blog is a mystical place with a warm vibe...poetic and ethereal. Love it! I like to visit and just sit awhile and look at the forest photographs you recently posted. Very peaceful, indeed. It's like taking a walk with you.
