Day 8 ~ 30 Days of Love: Connections with Old Friends
Today I unexpectedly ran into 3 friends from elementary and high school at a church social. I started thinking about how the connections you make with people 30 years ago can still hold meaning and relevance. It was LOVEly to notice how we'd all stayed informed and concerned, following each other via news stories, common friends, and social media thru the years. Affection was palpable. Caring was evident. Hugs were genuine. An impromptu happy reunion! It made me more aware of how every single encounter in our lives, however brief or long ago, is an opportunity to really connect with another human being and make an impact. We shouldn't waste it.
