Monday Mimisms ~ If Words Are Powerful...Then This Matters
My wonderful friend, author and peace blogger, Michelle Frost from Scotland, sent this book cover via Facebook last night. It's awesome! We are usually riding on the same brain wavelength and she is spot on with my vibe this week.
The story of Dona Nobis Pacem in the Blogosphere is a wonder story. But before I can finish the book I've been working on, a bit of organizing had to be done. The Official website was completed and now I've also categorized the Facebook peace globe entries by country, which was no small task let me tell ya. The slideshow below represents a flag from each location blogging peace across the world. The exciting thing is that each time our logo is Liked on a social media website it is perpetually spinning when it is shared and re-shared, tweeted and re-tweeted. This takes our peace blogging far beyond November 4th into the realm of everyday awareness. Recent additions to our community are Iceland, Greenland, Botswana, Iran, and the Kingdom of Bahrain near the Persian Gulf for a total today of 168 countries flying a peace globe and sharing it across the globe in their cities and towns. There are 2,360 entries with no known locations and many more I'll never find. Which is a good thing! I'm happily surprised to see them popping up in searches where I least expect them.
Today I celebrate and share with you the peoples and the cultures and the richness of our world.
If for one day a year, at least one person from each corner of the globe can speak a whisper of hope and dare to be counted, then maybe there really is hope for peace. That has been our premise from the beginning and that will not change. Keep blogging for peace. We've come a long way and we have a long way to go. But I hear the conversations changing more and more with less finger-pointing and more problem-solving.
A warm welcome to these places, new and veteran. It looks so easy when you're all lined up like this together on a page. Doesn't it?
