Campaign PeaceQuarters
Welcome to the headquarters of Bloggingham Palace, home of the flying peace globes. It's a circus! Not only are globes pouring into my mailbox but the meme seems to be spreading like wildfire in the blogosphere. The next few days I will meme it meme it meme it again and again. The response has been "Why haven't I heard about this before? Count me in!" So the push will be on until next Thursday. If any of you want to help me in your spare time (like who has spare time??!) just email and I'll delicately delegate a job for you. Please don't take offense if you get memed again or have already sent in your globe or you see a drop in your comment box. I could have made a mistake and memed ya tiwce. (It's been known to happen.)
Until November 6th, Homer and I will be barricaded in the palace counting globes, answering emails, writing posts, eating cheetos and preparing for a couple of radio shows (Dr. Blogstein's Radio Happy Hour on Tuesday the 4th at 9pm Eastern and Dr. Anonymous on the 6th).
But I have an awesome helper.
1. I taught Homer to count
2. I taught Homer to spell Dona nobis pacem
3. I taught Homer to sing Dona nobis pacem
4. I taught Homer to fetch my coffee
5. I taught Homer to clean up spilled coffee
He's enjoying it immensely!! I can understand that he may be a little bored but really (!) I think all this peaceful bonding may be a turning point in our relationship. He seems to be adjusting well to my hourly tantrums and has learned since I began this post to pour French Vanilla without spilling it on my crown. I'm so proud of him!
That dog is a genius I tell ya.
Right, Homer? ...Homer?! Right?
(I'm outta coffee poochie dear.....)

Homer is so cool.
Hang in there Majesty... it's almost Thursday.
Isn't it?
I've just made my Peace Globe and have posted it on my sidebar. Happy Haunting, Mimi!
Homer rules!:-)
43 countries, that is really something. Thursday is coming, it is closer and closer, and I am more and more excited:-)
Cool. Glad to hear about the excitement spreading.
Homer is a pretty cool cat. I mean, dog.
Ah, a faithful helper. How's this: I'll scour my (disasterous) 'Puter Room this weekend for my flashdrive so I can make the Peace Globe I've been envisioning & if I get it in before the deadline, I'll offer a bland. (blog-hand, why does it always sound better when you do it???)
I can tell Homer is exhausted. Throw the poor dude dog a bone once in a while, will ya!?
I'm so behind. But I do have 2 new Peace Globes, one for me and one for Pam & I together. I need to email those to you this weekend. The post is beginning to take shape.
I do have some time to help anyone who needs a Globe. My skills are limited, but I can get a picture or a quote, or a picture and a quote.
If anyone needs help, email me at travisutr2006@yahoo.com.
Peace!
Sounds like a grand production!
Poor Homer!
I volunteer Alex to help.
How appropriate that I should be with the two people I love most on that day.
Peace is love... Love is Peace.
Mojo - Homer rules the castle.
Julia - Your globe was awesome, my dear. Thank you.
Namnet - You are the sole representative from the Czech Republic. YES! I'm excited too.
Charles - He's a little dyslexic but that's ok with me....
Autummn - I hope you get your computer flashdrive resurrected in time! Sending positive thoughts...
Ferd - He'll be OK after this is over. At least he learned how to make coffee! (He's gonna need some...)
Thanks Travis. I can't wait to read your post on the 6th!
We were talking about you yesterday, Mimi, and marveling at how on earth you do it all. Go, Girl!
Nick - I think Alex would get along with Homer better than I do.
Anndi - Give them a hug from me. How cool that your honey will get to experience peace globes.
Margo - My ears were burning. I could tell....ha!
What a good boy, Homer!
Counting down the hours, Your Highness. Which reminds me, is the chat room going to be open at any point?
Grandalf and Grayson - Don't tell him. It'll go to his head.
Lee - You must have been reading my mind. I just posted about it. Tomorrow night we'll kick it off with a chat party. And I may open the room on peace globe day as well. Hope to see you there.
Mimi, this is so very exciting! Thanks to you and Homer for all the great work. I look forward to seeing it all. Just awsome...
Who writes the messages the dog holds?
