Monday Mimisms ~ Looking At The Underside of Daisies

So my little hiatus is almost over and it's time to peek my head out and say hello. Thanks to all who contacted me by email, text, comments, chat, phone or sent cards, prayers and Reiki.
You know who you are!

10 Things I Did While On Hiatus (with nary a regret)

1. Kissed in the rain. I have now declared him the Greatest Kisser I've Ever Known. Amazing kisser. Just amazing. OK. I'll stop now.

2. Peeked out from under the covers at daisy bottoms.

3. Cursed a nurse. I did.
Not sorry. She did not know (or care) the blood she vampired was royal blood. Bah!

4. Read a radical book.

5. Lost five pounds.

6. Lost my cellphone in the hospital. THREE times. My son was not amused. Neither were the people next to me trying to sleep.

7. Had dinner at a Thai restaurant Friday night with a man who wore no Thai. Ahem.

8. Took pictures of daisies in a vase while lying on my side.
Can it get more exciting than this? Yes. See #1

9. Made plans to meet a friend from New England for dinner soon. I haven't seen the Duchess since 2008 when we (I) got in trouble at Bertucci's in CT. I hope she hasn't forgotten how to curtsy.

10. I've slept a LOT but not enough.

11. Dared a handsome man with big brown eyes to kiss me in the rain. (That's 11. But it was worth it)

This is Mimi Pencil Flirt signing off for now. I'll see you on the upside of daisies. Soon.

Aren't they lovely?

"I've looked at daisies from both sides now ..." Hmm, isn't quite as catchy as 'clouds' but I do like the angles of the pictures that you took - very creative!

That's a nice list of 11 you've got going there, too - well, except maybe for losing your cell phone and the vampire nurse!

I'm really looking forward to seeing you in Raleigh next month - I'm sure we can get into some sort of hi-jinks and shenanigans on my four-hour layover but I think perhaps we should try to stay away from any artificial flowers!

Oooooh! The rain-kissing-thing sounds so romantic and sexy and life affirming! To go from pain to joy like this is so bright and positive, like the flowers themselves. Welcome back to the blogosphere, your Highness!

Hi Mimi, welcome back - hope you are OK. With reference to number 7 (no Thai), I'm glad you were restrained enough not to make any puns involving the capital of that country.

Ha! Mimi having fun. Nice!

Welcome back! :-)

Wishing you daisies and kisses and good health wishes. (cos it kind of rhymes that way)

Sounds like a productive hiatus and a fulfilling one emotionally. Well done!

- It's good to be back. Thank you!

Linda - I don't nuthin' bout no artificial flowers. MMmmmaybe.
Are the police still looking for me?

Gal - Why, thank you. I needed something positive for a change. It was a great date. Sort of...

Bazza - Restraint is my middle name.

Cogitator - It's about time. And I did.

Michelle - You are a rhyming wizard today. Thank you!

Charles - Fulfilling. But as I said, he ended up being a total jerk. Sigh.

Mojo - Well...the flirt was fun anyway.

Vinny - All IS well.

Jean-Luc - I am nothing if not eventful.

Mielikki - I actually nearly changed my answer when I wrote it because of thought of you and how you might feel about it. I'm sure she was nothing like you!!!

Wait...there was kissing in the rain, but no dancing in the rain during mega dance week?

YIPEE!!! Glad you are back. Hope you are feeling fine. Hope all your handmaids and fellows took extra care of you. Daisys are one of my fave blooms. Nurse probably deserved it. Two almost took my are off from infection due to their careless IV hookups. Kissing in the rain - ah, how sweet. Tata for now. Cheers Mimi!!
