Copper Peace in Ottawa ~ The Magic Creations of Debra James Percival

Debra James Percival is an artist in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. On BlogBlast For Peace day, November 5, she dedicated an entire day from Dawn to Dusk artistically depicting her story of peace through the copper plates she so beautifully uses to express herself. You may recall her story in 2008 when she took her teenagers to the beach at the crack of dawn to create a family inspired Dona Nobis Pacem project. It was simply amazing.

You will be inspired by her creation known as "Copper Spirit of Peace." Click any of the images below to read how she created the transformation of peace and watch the progression of light as it changes from dawn to dusk.

You will remember Debra from last year. She took her teenagers to the beach at the crack of dawn and blogged peace while the sun rose in her part of the world. She leads her children by example, requires much of them in this world community of ours and inspires all of us to bring our individual talents to the table. Some write, some draw, some paint, some sing, some post peace globes. All make a huge difference. No matter the medium or the personal inspiration, from fifty countries and thousands of locations we all blog peace.
We are indeed, according to Debra, a Spirit of Hope Heading Out Into The Darkness.

A very cool series. I think the 5:00pm shot is my favorite. The dark background really makes the copper stand out.
