What I Still Know About Love (#6)

Each relationship has brought its own nirvana, its own dip into transitory hell and its own exhilarating power. Twenty years ago, ten years ago, even five years go - what I've learned is how little I knew. One might argue only half from the half-faced woman. I do not have all the answers. But these things I know for sure.

In my quest for succinct mimisms on the subject of love, I hope I've paid attention to all the right things. Here's #6.....

All of the lessons I learned falling in and out of love finally tumbled into two very important words.
I will. I will. I will.
....

Yes, you will. You go my queen.

Have a terrific Friday and weekend. Big hug. :)

Falling in love is a curious thing. I think the problem is, people think these things are meant to last forever.
They're not always.

I think you just have to go with the flow.

Sandee - Smile.

Crushed - I so disagree. I don't think it's naive to believe that "these things" can last forever Some do. Depends on what the "thing" is and if both parties understand the "thing".....hmmm.....not sure about the go with the flow ...explain?

I would like to again someday but I'd like to stay there rather than fall out of it again as always seems to be the case with me.

In the meantime, you go your Highness!

I believe in forever love. I just haven't found it yet. But perhaps this is a good place to insert your mantra, "I will."

I did and I still am! You go gal. x

Linda - Hope floats.

Gal - Sometimes "I will" is hard to say when the "jaded" slips in - a hazard of living past 40....and so normal, I think. If you don't have some "baggage" (for lack of a better word) you haven't lived or loved much. Wading through it is difficult but what cha' gonna do? Join a convent? Not.

Good for you.

P.S. I feel like giving up at least 5 times a day. The mantra is pasted to the fridge.

Akelamalu - Awww....sweet......

I heave learned (over and over again) that I fall in love too quickly and out of love too slowly.

Paul McCartney wrote the song. It was featured on the White Album. The White Album was not named the White Album. It was named The Beatles. The year was 1968. A Tuesday I believe.

Deep breath.

You will.

Nick - Well put. So true.....That made me smile.

As long as "I Will" doesn't turn too quickly into "I Do" if you know what I mean. :0)

Lee - I never thought of it that way! No chance, my friend. Let's get to the "we're in a relationship stage" first, shall we?

All I know is that love and logic do not mix, and there lies the quandary.
Finding the "one" is a mix of fate and plain old good luck!
True love runs you over like a Mac Truck ... nothing much you can do about that!

The "one" just doesn't seem realistic to me anymore. I'm married and I've found it to be the most exhausting challenge I've ever met. Some people make it look so easy. I wonder who's crazy them or me. Oh, who are we kidding? It's probably me.

Love? Meh. But Peace, now you're talking.

Thought you'd wanna know I just got in a clever Peace Globe plug...
Photo Hunt #10 - "Hat(s)": Hey, That'd make a Great Peace Globe!

So when is the next launch anyway??

Mimi Lenox said...

Eric - I like the Mac Truck analogy...

Mimi Lenox said...

Summer - Hmmm.....love shouldn't be exhausting but the reality is that sometimes relationships are. Maybe it's the "marriage" thing...not sure.

Mimi Lenox said...

Mojo - I will check it out! The next launch is planned for November....I want time this time to really promote it heavily and hopefully find a sponsor. What are your thoughts on skipping a mid-year launch?

You have some great comments. I have nothing to add... except that you give me hope ;)

Dawn - Some days are more hopeful than others, my friend.
Men are men are men. Just sayin'...

You will. I know I will. Hell, I am!
