Saturday 9 with Mimi: Queen Afloat

This week Crazy Sam wants to go on a trip.
I told her I'd go along if she wouldn't take me seriously today.
I hope you don't either.
Saturday 9: We Travel Well
1. What part of the world and country do you live in?

Bloggingham Palace

7000 Pencil Skirt Lane

Province of Banister

2. What is the furthest from home that you have been, and where is it?
I ventured out to the moat yesterday and nearly drowned. It took an hour to walk back to the castle and by then I was hungry so I returned to the moat to fish.

3. What travel destination have you enjoyed the most?
In 1851 I traveled to England and met my 11th husband -
King Wannabe.
I don't know where he is today.

4. What travel destination have you enjoyed the least?
This is the Queen Victoria cruise ship. I hate Queen Victoria and refuse to ride on her little boat ever again. She tried to throw me overboard. She knows I can't swim!
5. Is there somewhere you’d like to visit but have not, and where is it?
Where is it? Good question. I lost the jewels in my crown in a nasty struggle with that no-good Queen Vicky. She told me we were going to a masked ball and blindfolded me just before the scuffle.
Here she is 1887. She's such a sourpuss.

6. Do you prefer traveling to see historic places or to hit the beach and relax?

I prefer the Royal Caribbean Line Majesty of The Seas Cabin #333. I heard there was a party! No time to RSVP. I'm so there. Don't tell Vicky.

7. What popular vacation destination have you never considered because you think you’d not like it?
In order to answer this question I would have to consider it. I'm just trying to follow directions here, Sam. Please have some consideration. I just got out of the moat and I'm all wet. Homer! Where are my shoes??!

8. Where do you travel to most recently?
Sigh. Are you paying attention? I am not in a good mood.
My curls are flat.

9. Do you like day trip “mini-vacations”?I like mimi-vacations.

That's better.
Next time I'll travel on the only cruise liner that counts. Sans the dog. I swear he's in cahoots with Queen Sourpuss.
Homer! Get in here!

Got a good chuckle out of this one. Not that it isn't totally realistic, mind you.

me thinks queen vicky sourpuss is just a wee bit jealous of your lovely curls.

Sandee - I was in the water silly....oh, you're right. That would make them curlier.

I plead literary license.

Mimi Lenox said...

Charles - Perception is everything my friend. This isn't reality?

Shannon - You are welcome at the castle anytime....

Mimi Lenox said...

Bud - Uh huh....

Ciara - Well...I didn't wanna say anything...you know me. The essence of humility. Low-key Queen that I am.

I think the two of us are the only ones who are not fond of theme parks

Perhaps you should get a nice little rowboat for the moat or maybe a little dinghy ... no offense to you, of course, your Majesty!

Jodi - I enjoyed your Saturday 9 as well! Thanks for stopping by the castle. Watch out for the moat....

Mimi Lenox said...

Diana - Too many people. Walking through a million hot sweaty people trying to get to a roller coaster is not my idea of fun.

Linda - I should throw you in the dungeon for that remark but it was so funny I can't. Bwwaaahaahhaa

Had a good laugh on this one! Love to go visit your castle one day, hope you'll let me stay for a few days :)

This is a hoot, Your Highness. Lots of giggling by me. ;-D

I'm 100 percent with you and Diana. No theme parks for me.
Scary rides don't "amuse" me. At an "amusement park" the only thing I like is the merry-go-round. Boring, huh?

Vicky is just jealous because she can't pull off the pencil skirt look.

Now, don't you worry about those flat curls. Just slap a cowgirl hat over 'em and you're good to go.

Your capacity for silliness is commendable!

(Queen Vicky's a bulldyke if I ever saw one)

Mimi Lenox said...

ms. Tami - The pleasure is mine. Thanks for stopping by and do come back.

zj - Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for visiting.

Patti - Amusement parks are short on amusement for me too.

Travis - Laughing....ha ha...

Margo Now that you've called Vicky a bulldyke on my blog all sorts of mayhem may occur. Can I borrow one of your hats? A big one? To hide me?

I always come down the page this far to see that dungeon photo.

Mimi Lenox said...

Eric - I would move it up closer to the top for your convenience but that might scare the little children. This is a PG site ya know.

But just for your information...What happens in the dungeon stays in the dungeon. Bwaahhaahaa
