Monday Mimisms: Bananas Win

"Miss Pencil Skirt?

"Yes, Dr. Doom?"

"How many bananas are you eating....?"

"Lots, Dr. D. Lots."

"You can slack off now, Miss Skirt. Your potassium is normal.

"Yippee!!'
"And the cholesterol?"

"LDL is down 126 points. Normal."

"Yippee!!"
"What are you doing, Miss Skirt?"

"Writing a blog post....why do you ask?"

No, said the impatient Doctor, "what are you doing to get these results? Are you taking your meds Miss Skirt?"

"Yes of course....and....."

"And what?"

"I added more exercise, a berry flavored multi-vitamin with extra stuff for Queens, Omega3 Fish Oil, some focused meditation (ooommmm....) and....

"And what?"

"Garlic pills."

"I did not prescribe garlic pills."

"You didn't?"
"No."
"I forgot that part..."
Just like I've learned not to argue with a four-year-old, Dr. Doom has learned not to argue with moi.
"Take your statin pill. Eat the bananas. Keep doing what you're doing. See you in 3 months."
Was it the garlic? Was it the exercise? Was it the pill? The fish oil? I don't care.
Going to the store now. Out of bananas.
Yippee!
ooommmmmmm...
*************
What's for dinner?Wild Salmon marinated in a honey dijon vinaigrette sprinkled with lemon pepper and a splash of garlic and Green beans. (20 minutes 375 degrees...the salmon not the beans....). Sauteed onions on the side is even better (I was out of onions)
I cooked it myself! It's a miracle. Behold!
Just lie and tell me it looks good.

I don't have cats. Thanks goodness.
I'll bet they like bananas too.

If I can recognize it... it looks good. Seriously, who can mess up green beans?

I hear Jeff B likes bananas and his wife Lisa buys tons of them.... hehehe!

Anndi - Who can mess up green beans? Do you remember whose blog you're on?

i'm not gonna lie, that meal looks yummy even though i don't eat fish! i love that you have good portions, too, because if you lived with my family, that just wouldn't be enough on their plate (except for me...it would be perfect).

glad everything is normal. you still need to have a frozen chocolate banana hehehe

I like bananas, but not that much.

I looks good, but where is the rest of it. That's not enough food to keep a bird alive. Good grief Mimi. Just saying. Great news on the doctors report though. Good going. Have a great day. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

The food looks good, but the fish would be even better if you fixed it on the grill. Yummy!! Congrats on the good report from the lab. Now the doc can just leave you alone. I'm betting on the garlic pills myself.

Looks good to me too! Anndi is a wicked one to bring up Jeff's obsession with bananas...*grin*

Ciara- Frozen chocolate banana sounds good about now...

Charles - I'm learning to REALLY like bananas...but I think nuts (Lee's suggestion) is a good one too.

Mimi Lenox said...

Sandee - Thanks for the encouragement. It was plenty enough for me and pretty yummy if I do say so myself.

Mimi Lenox said...

Bee - I told you. It's a miracle! The dishes are my pattern from England called "Devonshire"...you have the sugar bowl? Nice!

Mimi Lenox said...

Lee - No kidding. I did it with garlic pills and diet and exercise alone once. We'll see this time.
Thanks! Me + grill = disaster.

Mimi Lenox said...

Desert - I do not know about Jeff's obsession. Is it a good thing? I shall have to investigate.

Mimi Lenox said...

Bud - Nope. One lie today will do.....Thanks! Oh. You mean is there anything else to eat??

Dessert silly!

A delicious dish fit for a fit dish of a Queen!

Wow. It actually does look good. And you can believe that, because I don't like fish or green beans.

Congratulations on your most excellent meal and your most excellenter health results.

Excellenter...it is so a word.

Mimi Lenox said...

Ferd - I humbly thank you.

Travis - You sound shocked. And you should be. Everybody knows I can't cook. But I did today.
I hope it's not a fluke.

I like "excellenter"....

dude - it rocks. i eat like this almost every day...except for every once in a few right b4 *ahem* you know. now, remember. splurge. mix the banana with some wheat germ on or someth'n someth'n to get it go'n on. that way you always come back to the good stuff. i'm just say'n.

Mimi Lenox said...

Mary - Thank you!

Chuck - I can't believe you said wheat germ. I put it on everything. Bananas on top of the cereal and wheat germ on top of that. It is sooo good for you.
I knew a lady who lived to be 100 and she ate it every day of her adult life and swore by it. She was the healthiest person I ever knew!

I knew there was something connecting us...come to find out, it's germs. That rocks.
