Monday Mimisms with Mimi Queen of Memes ~ Serenading The Moon and Clouds

So what's with the cloud pictures?

I was supposed to finish a meme tonight tossed by Lee from Tarheel Ramblings Why, oh why, am I not doing the meme? Where is the meme? You promised a meme. Clouds....ah....I snapped these from a parking lot downtown. I want to get lost in the clouds.

This one has a brilliant face.

My mind is on the sky tonight. And a four-year-old baby boy who doesn't understand why his grandpa isn't ever coming home again.

The next clear day I'll sit with him and look at the earth upward through his eyes - where he'll tell me about him.
Maybe we'll find a footprint.

Snuggle up to the Bloggingham moon and listen to Eva Cassidy sing "Fields of Gold." This post is dedicated to G.W. Henderson, my grandson's maternal grandfather, who left us way too soon this week.
Thank you for teaching this child to believe in the clouds.
He will surely - for a while - look for you there.
Rest in peace.

G.W. Henderson

Your love for my baby boy was one of the most precious gifts you gave.
And I thank you.

Hi Mimi,
My heartfelt sympathy to you, and your family.
I feel sorry for your little guy :(
It's hard for him to grasp this. I know that he will have all your love and understanding to get him by.
I love clouds, and your images are calling to me...

I also, have had a passing in my larger family a few days ago, and have been thinking about that heavenly abode up there.
Hugs to you both ((((( ))))

You are right, my friend, a grandparent's love is a truly precious gift.
XO

Many people I know suffered family losses this past week or so. I'm so sorry for your grandson; maybe you can help his little heart heal a bit.

Beautiful clouds, Mimi. Beautiful post. And beautiful tribute to...your son's father, if I've figured right.
So sorry, sending you good will and prayers.

Beautifully written (as always), Mimi. My thoughts and prayers are with you and that sad little boy. I know that is the hardest part of dealing with loss is how it affects our children!

Friends - Thank you all. He was blessed with two beautiful daughters who adored him, a wife of 35 years and one grandson we share (my son's little guy) who doesn't understand where his playful grandpa has suddenly gone. I'm not sure I do either.

But if a life well-lived can be measured by those who love us and how much we love, then he was a rich man indeed.

I appreciate your thoughts and prayers and will pass those hugs on to my blue-eyed baby boy.

Mimi I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please know you and your entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

This is simply a lovely tribute and the song is one of my very favorites also.

Please give the little guy an extra hug from all of us out here in the blogosphere who care about you so very very much.
Hugs,
jackie

You will come up with the most perfect thing to help him...it might not be today or tomorrow but you will figure it all out someday.
