Monday Mimisms with Mimi Queen of Memes ~ I'm In The Mood
It's time to catch up on some long overdue meme passing before I have to relegate myself to the dungeon for life. And it's just cold and dark in there.
Sandee of Comedy Plus awarded me The Colors of Friendship Award yesterday. Thank you, Sandee, for the kind gesture. I've gotten to know your blog better as of late and so appreciate your warm spirit and wacky sense of humor. I do consider you a friend indeed. In the spirit of friendship - old and new - I'm awarding this to the following bloggers. Thank you for offering me a soft place to land, as true friends do - and accepting my crazy pencil skirt ways.
Santa at Santa's Community Blog because well.....he's Santa
Patti at Late Bloomer Boomer ~ A true friend with a heart of gold and a pithy word when I need it
Frank at Foxxfyrre's Honk 'n Hollr ~ because well....he's Frank
Linda - Are We There Yet? ~ She tells it like it is. Always.
Akelamalu - Everything and Nothing in the United Kingdom ~ Just when I think nobody is reading my blog or cares what I have to say, in pops the Hawaiian girl from the United Kingdom to brighten my day.
Desert Songbird - I like her spirit.
Crazy Working Mom - I like her style.
Annelisa - Words That Flow ~ Many blog moons ago we became friends and even when she's not posting she sneaks in an email to let me know what she's up to.
Kathleen, award winning writer who pens Diary of A Heretic ~ (and placed third in the 2007 Weblog Awards in the "Best Literature" category)I hope she also gets a book deal soon for the daily live fiction she magically spins on her blog.
You'll never believe who knocked on Bloggingham's door. Santa himself came to visit me. Yes! Really!
Santa was in my chat room on November 4, 2007 during the Peace Globe Party and took over for me when I fell ill during the last few hours. He was busy trying to answer the 700 letters he gets in his mailbox everyday from all the little children around the world and took time to help a friend. That's why I gave him the Colors of Friendship award! He was impressed with the level of commitment to the peace project and had some fine things to say about it. Click the icons above to read his post.
And please, don't tell him that sometimes I get myself in the worst messes. He doesn't need to know that until after Christmas. I have a long list and I'm trying veerrrryyy hard to be good. It's taxing!
Linda of Are We There Yet? sent this beautiful award and it really puts me in the Christmas spirit. Thank you, my blogging buddy.
According to Santa.....This award is for those who talk about and show the spirit of Christmas in their blogs. What is the Spirit of Christmas you ask? Quite simply it is those that have a generous and giving nature. Those who care about others. Those who have a kind word to say or a broad shoulder to lean on in the times that others need that. Those who display the "Spirit of Christmas".This is the only award that I am releasing that you may pass on to others. I am giving it to five and you should too. Those that have touched your heart with their kind and giving and caring nature. As always,Santa ô¿ô
Here are my five nominees and the reasons I chose them. All of them I consider my blogging friends as well. Winners: You have to go to Santa's site to pick up the code.
Bond from The Big Leather Couch ~ I know of no other blogger who exemplifies the spirit of giving and generosity as well as Vinny at The Big Leather Couch. And he makes a mean pan of homemade gravy lasagna.
MO (aka Morgen) from It's a Blog Eat Blog World and The MO Show ~ He's always uplifting others with birthday wishes, hugs, encouraging words and entertainment (sometimes known as eye-candy!) and has a smile that exudes confidence and joy. He's just a good soul and has a fan base that proves the loyalty he so richly deserves.
Sanni from Coffee2Go and Pimp-Your-Blog ~ She volunteered hours of labor and talent to create one-of-a-kind peace globes for bloggers around the world. You know this beauty from Germany and she's one hot little Frau.
Doctor Anonymous - He promotes a sense of community through his new BlogTalk Radio show and is always reporting on the cutting edge in the medical community. Hosting the medical community's Grand Rounds this week is the one-and-only Doctor A.
Maryam from My Marrakesh ~ A blogger with class, beauty, charm and intelligence. Her blog is a delightful spectacle and she is incredibly personable. And did I mention exotic? A gorgeous blog and friendship I greatly enjoy. My next trip? First stop: Morocco. (Maryam came in second place in the 2007 Annual Weblog Awards)
And finally for dessert we have The Sweet Treat Award from Patti.
Trista at The Pumpkin Patch created this award and it's so cute. I know lots of good reads in the blogosphere. Passing this on won't be hard. Thank you, Patti! P.S. I just finished dinner and this looks really yummy. How did she know I love candy corn?
My Sweet Treats are.......
Empress Bee of The High Sea - She is now on the last leg of her hilariously adventurous cruise with hubby Sarge Charlie. If you haven't been keeping up, it's a riot. She blogged for peace from her cabin at sea on November 7th and told me she had the Atlantic covered!
Trav's Thoughts ~ You can always count on Travis to keep you up-to-date on the latest dancing news (complete with videos), the sports world and what's happening in the blogosphere. His writing is honest and full of wisdom. I sometimes save his blog to visit last - like dessert.
Katherine from Wading Through My Stream of Consciousness - Her blog is an oasis of well written thoughtful commentary. You'll love the photo (she took it) at the top of her blog. Katherine lives in a beautiful place and loves to share it with her readers.
Sandee from Comedy Plus - Hysterically funny site that puts a smile on my face and a flair in my pencil skirt.
Bagwine Ruminations - If you haven't discovered Matt-Man's humor yet, where have you been? He holds nothing back. I respect that. A plethera of well timed comedic jabs and jaunts spiced with enough truth to scare the living bejeebuz out of me. Because well......he's Matt.
Whew! That was close. I thought I was going to have to throw myself in the Bloggingham pit for not answering memes - and worse! - not acknowledging awards. Thanks to all who awarded me with these lovely icons of praise and I hope I've let you in on some of the best kept blog secrets around.
If you were awarded, please pass these on to others!
See you tomorrow. I need to press my skirt.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Mimi. Thank you so much for this wonderful award. The great thing about this award is that it shows the spirit of friendship between so many different people. No matter who we are, where we come from or anything else we are all basically the same. All the same hopes and dreams and a strong desire to belong and that's what Blog World is all about. Thank you so much Mimi. I really appreciate it
Santa ô¿ô
Mimi I'm overwhelmed - thank you my friend. xx

Thanks very much Mimi. I will try to continue to live up to your words of praise. Once again, great job on Peace Globe Day, and again, thank you very much. Cheers!!

Mimi, thanks for the kind words.
I'm indeed honored to get this award from you. ;-)
Akelamalu is right. You do deserve a medal for all the hours and hours you spend on BlogBlast for Peace.
Sweet treats for dessert eh? I like the candy corn guy!
Thanks for the shout out. I really appreciate it. And there are some other really good bloggers in your list.
Cheers darlin!
Santa - I've been a good little girl. You believe that don't you, Santa? Santa?! Santa?! Where you going Santa......come back! I have a really long list. I need nail polish!
Akelamalu - A ray of sunshine you always are.
Matt - Pithy you are. And scary. But in a good way!
Queenie - Hmmm...since Santa is watching I have to tell you the truth. I did indeed make that cake with my own two hands.
Not.
Darn.
Robin - Lovely people,yes.
Empress Bee - Have a slice. I made it myself. Didn't ya hear?
(I think Santa left....)
Dr. A - You're welcome.
Crazy Working Mom - I know. I'm tired.
Patti - You're so welcome, my friend
Travis - Candy corn dessert goes nicely with a chilled Chardonnay and hot dogs, spam and roast beef for dinner. Maybe asparagus and lima beans too.
(I just made that up. Feeling kinda silly this morning.) You're welcome!
Thank you Mimi. I'll get a post up today. You did this very well by the way. Have a wonderful day. :)
Mimi, thanks! What you didn't say is that I couldn't have run in the Weblog Award finals without you.
And hey, next year's Nobel Peace Prize committee: Look at what Mimi's done and still doing! (To reiterate: Next year's Nobel Peace Prize committee--because we certainly don't want to take anything away from Al Gore again!)
During her BlogBlast for Peace, at a crucial minute, in fact, Mimi excused herself long enough to put in a BIG PITCH for me.
I was thrilled with my show position in the 2007 Weblog Award for Literature--BUT it couldn't have happened without Mimi.
And Santa? That's nothing! She does that while she's sleeping, as I'm sure you know, watching us all the time. Mimi in all her guises is a living saint! So give this girl the whole toy shop, complete with fixings, elves, and reindeer; she deserves 'em all.
ah shucks and shazaaaaam I am feeling so loved...
ty darlin'
Thank you so much Mimi. It's wonderful to get this from someone who truly means it.
Kathleen - You forgot to tell Santa I need nail polish. You didn't need me, dear. You stand on your own as a writer. I was glad to do what I could.
Sandee- I love the Christmas spirit on your blog! It's so giving. It's so you.
Bond - Stop with the Gomer. lol
Polli - You deserve so much more than this. I appreciate your honesty and character. Six kids on an island.....somebody give this woman another award.
Thank you so very much for thinking of me with this award, I really do appreciate it and consider an award from the Queen of the Castle to be a high honor indeed! I shall post it with much joy!
(I'm having problems getting on your blog today....)
thank you kindly your highness...that is very sweet of you....
Awwwww... thank you so much, Mimi!
I could watch the little snowflakes for hours =)
Congrats on your awards - veeeeery well deserved, oh Queen of blog blings!
Geez, I'm such a slug. I read this, posted it on my blog, but didn't comment here! Sheesh - don't shoot me, Mimi.
I thank you for the recognition. I don't know how deserving I am, but I thank you humbly and will wear the badge with honor.
Mimi, my friend from across the pond, I'm so honoured to be included in your 'colours of friendship' awards - honoured and gone all gushy!
And I'm so glad you were saved from being thrown in the dungeon... I don't know what we would possibly have done without you here in blogland - a land without a queen would be a sorry state of affairs, especially one who propagates such feelings of peace and joy, not just one day of the year, not even two, but for much, much longer as the feelings of goodwill grow and spread - Queen Mimi, you are a right royal sovereign, worthy of your own coin and stamp! I shall order the royal mint to make you such immediately!!
And, thank you once again for my award - I don't know how I missed it! :-D
