Blogging Stars are Shining Tonight
Thank you Skittles, for creating this beautiful award. I am honored to be among the first five to ever receive it; along with Akelamalu (Everything and Nothing), Coffee2Go (Sanni), SmalltownRN (A Place I Call Home) and The Curmudgeon (Second Effort).
"This award is for bloggers who shine their light throughout the Blogosphere. Some do it with humor, others with creativity, and others with their kind and thoughtful natures. We all know more than a few of them so why not give them some recognition?"
There are so many blogs I love. This was a hard choice but here are my winners.
1. Dan's Blah Blah Blog - He can flip from silly to serious to downright philosophical with the whimsical stroke of a pen. Dan is one of the most popular reads on the web and is prominently listed in Humor Blogs.Com. Besides his phenomenal writing talent, Dan's success in the blogosphere is largely due to the attention and kindness he gives to the daily avalanche of comments he receives. He takes the time to do what a good blogger should do: Read other blogs and genuinely comment on each one. I so appreciate that about him. If you're looking for a consistently well-written blog, visit Dan in blah blah land. It's always a great read. And then there's Lulu
2. Bond's Big Leather Couch - Vinny is a hodgepodge of knowledge and fun. He keeps us rockin' with his soulful silliness and insightful prose. I can't think of another blogger who takes more time to honestly support other writers and blog owners with comments and support. K.I.N.D.N.E.S.S. is definitely a word that describes Bond.
3. Patti The Late Bloomer Boomer - Patti's thoughtfulness is becoming a standard daily blog dose for me. She and hubby Ralph (Airhead 55) frolic about in lovely New England and blog about their daily ups and downs. A blogging couple! I love it! They are delightful, witty and the cutest couple you have ever seen. Welcome to the blogosphere, Ralph and Patti. We like your neighborhood.
4. Linda - Are We There Yet? - If I could give Linda an award for Outstanding Mom of the Year, I would. She encourages her daughters' talents and lovingly writes about the trials and tribulations of being a single mom of two teenagers. Two very lucky young ladies. They have Superwoman as a mom! Linda recently attended the Projekt Revolution tour in Hartford with her oldest daughter Amanda. One of my favorite posts involved a late midnight trip to Walmart to fetch the last Harry Potter book for her daughter as a surprise. Very touching. Linda, you are a Queen in my book. This award should keep you out of the dungeon for a while......I know how your sciatica acts up in "dark and dank" places.
5. Bobbarama - A seriously funny guy with a vocabulary the size of Wikipedia. And why does that impress me besides the fact that I love men with cerebral slants? He makes up most of the words himself!! He lives in his own Wacky Wiki World. It's called Fictionary and it's hysterical. Or is that blysterical? His blog is packed with creative features he's cultivated into a practical cult following of Bobheads. He also is your host for the Carnival of Humor.
Congrats, Bob!

UPDATE: Go to Vinny's site (Bond's Big Leather Couch) and join the comment frenzy that is taking place on the subject of education. It started with a radio interview and has sparked a wonderful debate in the blogosphere. Katherine from California who writes Wading Through My Stream of Consciousness issued a challenge on her blog today as well.

I was wondering if asking people to comment falls under your realm? smile
My link to Bond’s post
I just deleted an evil monologue from an obvious spammer. Sorry I didn't see it sooner, folks. It was sick.
Maybe I should go back to moderating comments.
Mimi, I hope I did everything OK.
Thanks again. G'nite

Thanks friends. You are all so very welcome. I do love blogging!
Bee- Friday night and I'm blogging. What is wrong with this picture??!!
I should be out with my girlfriends getting into a wee bit of trouble. At least a bloggable story. I should be out dancing with a handsome man. I should be throwing my shoes off in the living room after a date and having a nice long glass of wine on the couch. I should be.....darn! I should be anywhere but here in Bloggingham blogging on a Friday night. Thanks for reminding me,Bee!!
I'm so depressed.
(throws shoe at monitor)
Mimi: congrats, you ARE a star.
I know the quote is probably copied from another site, but "Blogosphere" is spelled incorrectly.
There's a P in sphere.
Just thought you should know.
Love from the P police,
mo
Hey! I went to Dan's Blah Blah Blog. Well worth it... thanks for the recommend. :)
Mimi: I'm with Mo - I fixed the spelling of blogosphere when I used the quote.
;-)
The spelling was copied and pasted from the original author. Sorry. I have fixed it now. Carry on my little bloggers.....
