NATO, NaNo and WriRE-vised

Two weeks into the novel writing craze and I am sorely lagging behind my writing buddies. I won't offer excuses even though I have several hundred of them (in the form of spinning Peace Globes) that has captured my time and attention. Check out this wonderful article by the lovely Lizza from the Philippines, who wrote about the value of having dreams. Frank Sirianni and I are still finding Dona Nobis Pacem posts and globes all over the blogosphere.

And by the way, that is sooo cool to say. I feel like I'm in a Star Wars movie or something! Do you realize we own our own galaxy here? That means we can make our own rules - even declaring Peace on Earth.
Now see how simple that was?

We are our own Alliance!

We don't have to draw up treaties because there's only one side!

And the best part is.......NO BORDERS.

Which has become the working title for my NaNoWriMo novel.
Novel subject to interpretation and fiction slightly fudged into reality.
Well....a lot fudged.

But who's counting?

I am.

And they are.

For Pete's sake! I can't count words and globes at the same time. I only have a half a face and one hand. See?
SEEE??

Uh oh.
I'm gone.
I swear that picture was there this morning.

Sigh.

Now I have nothing to count with.
I'm in a pickle here people.

What was the question again?

Oh yes. How many words does Mimi have now.

Why, I've got so many nasty little Na-No words I've had to hire the accounting firm of Counting Cats and Kitties to keep track. They're doing a puurrfectly wonderful job.

I've got so many words I won't have to write anymore for a year or more.
Why, I've got so many words it puts one-eyed Ian and quivering Morgen and sassy Gale to shame. I know they don't have all those words!! Probably don't even have characters yet. I saw Gemmolina at the mall yesterday buying a new red teddy for that blue-eyed hunkie husband of hers. You know darn well if she's buying lingerie like that she must be burning candles in the boudouir!
I'm crossing her off my buddy list anyway.
Did you hear what she DID??!

She and that word-weilding Adrian had a War Of Words on
PEACE Globe Day.

The nerve.

And I don't know who Mo thinks he's foolin. Trying to tell people he has 10,000 words with a novel steeped in Egyptian history. We all know he was globetrotting yesterday! He blogged all about it! Give it up, Mo. We know Skeezix is really doing the writing for a big Hollywood production.

What was the question again?

Oh yes. How many words does Mimi have now.

Uhh......telephone! Excuse me, I can't talk about word counts now. It's my mother. She's hysterical. Apparently, Aunt Grace called to inform her that Papa's marbles were being sold on EBay.

I've got to go now.
How am I going to explain to my mother, who doesn't even own a computer, that dear Aunt Gracie doesn't have enough marbles to worry about said marbles and I lost mine years ago.
Marbles, that is.
Not virgin flights.

You know what I mean.

(This was a hodgepodge of silliness.)

You found me out, mims! I thought the cat costume and beanie copter hat was a great disguise, but not to get past Mimi Pencil Skirt. I should have known. (You can still get started on your NaNo, No Borders, ya know.) You united the blogosphere in a day of peace. You can do anything.

Jan...Thanks for visiting. No, it is certainly not too late to get a Peace Globe. Write me at the address found in my profile and I'll send you a blank one. Will gladly add it to the gallery.

I went to your site. Your shawls are gorgeous. I have a few but none as elegant as the ones you are making. I dearly love wearing them. How talented you are! I will be back to take a gander at your work. Thanks for visiting. And peace to you!

Lizza, you deserve all the recognition you can get. You are one of the most supporter bloggers I've ever seen with such a wonderful spirit. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I have lots of inspiration and ideas. Now I need 24 more hours in each day.
Love ya! Mims
