Sunday Blog Chatter: Those Chattering Globes
This is Mimi Pencil Skirt reporting live from your friendly neighborhood blogpost on the subject of daffodils.......uh.....football season? I know! Reynaldo Gianecchini! Let's see. "Once upon a time there was gorgeous young-enough-to-be-my-scandalous-boyfriend hunkie guy named Rey......" No, somehow that sounds all wrong. Nice. But wrong (and sad)
Believe it or not, bloggers are not chattering about my love life. There appears to be another - more exciting - topic at hand. One that has my head spinning, my keyboard smoking and my heart pounding. Ahh....I'm in love with Dona Nobis Pacem today. Smitten. Overwhelmed. Excited.

One of my favorite songs by Lifehouse. Here are the lyrics to You and Me and an audio above. Although it's deliciously romantic -I've been thinking about it in terms of the Peace Globe. (I know....you're all shocked). Simple analogy from a complicated musician. Well.....actually just a little imagination. Listen if you'd like and relax. (Hit pause if you're not in a mellow mood)
What day is it
And in what month
This clock never seemed so alive
I can't keep up and I can't back down
I've been losing so much time
Cause it's you and me and all of the people
With nothing to do, nothing to lose
And it's you and me and all of the people and
I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off of you
All of the things that I want to say
Just aren't coming out right
I'm tripping on words, you got my head spinning
I don't know where to go from here
Cause it's you and me and all of the people
With nothing to do, nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all of the people and
I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off you
Something about you now
I can't quite figure out
Everything she does is beautiful
Everything she does is right
Cause it's you and me and all of the people
With nothing to do, nothing to lose
And it's you and me and all of the people and
I don't know why I can't keep my eyes off of you

Excuse me. I need to shed these pumps and sprout wings.
I'll be back in a few. On a hunt for little spinning globes bearing beautiful bloggers' names.........
I recently had a discussion with someone about the vision for the Peace Globe. "It's simple," I told him.
I want to crank up my computer on November 7th and see "Dona Nobis Pacem" everywhere in blog titles with signed globes and articles about peace.

That is the vision.
I want to see 70 million blogs say Grant Us Peace.

(Did I SAY that??!!)
Yes, and I mean it.
What's the use of having a small vision?
We're talking about the world ya know.
WANT TO PARTICIPATE?
Write me and I'll tell you how or click here to find out how the whole world started spinning.

This may be as important a thing that you, and now we, have ever done.
There is nothing as serious as peace.
Imagine.
Bud....What a lovely comment. It is important and becoming more and more evident to me just how passionately people feel about doing something. This is my something.I hope others will feel the power that can come from one simple idea and use it as a catalyst for change and hope.
There's nothing brighter than a beacon of hope
Mimi -- I came by earlier and posted, but apparently blogger ate it. This is an excellent idea and I am glad you came up with it. Novemeber 7th is shaping up to be a peaceful day.
hmm just so's i understand right what were supposed to do ok.. we post the glob and then our thoughts on peace? our hopes and dreams for what we would like to have happen?.. just makin sure i understand what were supposed to do.. i feel silly asking this... i think it's a grand idea!!!
Amen to that, Annelisa.
Hi Wolfbaby.....Ask away! Somebody else might have the same question. On November 7th, 2006 -
TITLE YOUR POST "Dona Nobis Pacem" (that is important. We want them all to say the same thing so that people clicking thru blogs see a unified message)
2. Place your Peace Globe in your post (you will have already mailed it to me so that we can put it in the gallery too)
3. Write whatever you'd like that day on peace. You have some great ideas!
Thanks for participating and spread the word about "Dona Nobis Pacem in the Blogsophere" - a day when bloggers everywhere speak silently and loudly with little signed globes.
Don't ya love it?
And once more Reynaldo's name pops up in Queen Mimi's post! :p News just got out that our favorite stud muffin just separated from his wife who, by the way, is almost twenty years older than him!
So now we know he is single again. And he has a thing for older women. WOOHOO! :p
Great going with the peace project! Can't wait for November 7!
Looking forward to 11/7!
Thanks for your poem. You are one creative person, I pray your vision comes to pass.
You guys make me proud to be a blogger.
