Monday Mimisms ~ The Universe Is Smiling
Just when you think people are rotten to the core.....
someone does something surprisingly wonderful. I've been noticing the way people treat one another lately. For some reason, it's high on my radar screen. Must be one of those Universe lessons knocking on my door.
I would like to thank the older gentleman at a local company who volunteered for a layoff in order to save two younger men's jobs who had small children at home.
One of those workers was my son.
Thank you, Sir. I hope that kindness comes back to you one hundred times one hundred times one hundred.
..and the theater custodian this week who stayed an extra thirty minutes on the job so that an exhausted play director (that would be moi) could quickly run out and get some dinner before rehearsal. He didn't have to. He wasn't on the clock. He just did.
.....and the colleague who went out of his way to find my lost keys when he knew I didn't have time to look for them. I later found them in the bottom of my messy purse and he didn't make fun of me. Much.
and thanks to the mysterious person who left a Mango Fruit drink on my desk and then disappeared. I don't know who you are but I suspect you knew I needed a pick-me-up.
And finally...to the lunch lady in the cafeteria, who started bringing plastic bags from home to keep under her cash register just so she could pack up my lunch items because I can't carry all the food on a tray with a hurt arm. Nobody asked you to do that. One day you just surprised me with your plastic bag kindness.
There is never a kindness too small.
And there is never one I forget.

Just goes to show people DO care. :)
there is hope in the world!
thanks for the reminder of the kindnesses great and small that have come your way.
I think sometimes I don't notice and appreciate them enough when they do happen. If I did, my life might be a bit calmer.
Attuned to kindness. I'd like to be attuned to kindness, because I know kindness is more prevalent that unkindness.
Lovely humans!
Reminds me of pay it forward. We should all live that way. Lovely post my friend.
How I love this post! And I needed it today.
Sometimes......people practice The Golden Rule. Sometimes. I cherish those moments.
Have you all seen any kindness today?
I have. It was a lovely thing to behold.
