Tides of Joy

When the world under my hat
gets dark

and I find no peace
or direction

I will remember this walkwhen my soul tangled through rain and seaweed
in the strength of wood and night

and know that tomorrow will bring
tides of joy

and light

This seems to be the vacation you needed.

Mimi Lenox said...

Charles - It was. It was.

Travis - Most definitely. I had an actual craving for the ocean!
I'm going back. In August.

Oh, Mimi, I'm so glad you were able to enjoy and take solace from the sea WITHOUT BIG GLOBS OF OIL!!! This post gives an eloquent explanation as to what's on the line in the Gulf, doesn't it? Beautiful work, my Queen.

Gal - Thank you. I thought about the spill a lot while I was there. I don't think we've even begun to realize the ramifications yet.

I still have more pictures but I'm sure you are all tired of seeing them. And the nighttime walk video has to be edited before I can play it for you.

As always, love your thoughtful comments.
