See you Monday with Monday Mimisms.....and a spot of lace.

Great blogland weather for blog visiting, yep. And for working from home apparently :)

Stay tuned? I'm always tuned in :)

Bazza - Those two are a waste of my time. Somebody needs to get a life.

Tom Eagerly - Do you have something to say about peace globes? Or are you here just to diss my friends and visitors?

I eagerly await your response.

Cogitator - I know you are, my friend. It's been an interesting morning already in the castle!!! What are you up to today? I need to visit France soon....be right over.

I have been gardening today, Mimi.

I have planted two Canna Lily plants. One orange, one yellow. They are not frost hardy, but I will see if they will overwinter here at the end of the year, covered in a nice thick layer of insulation.

I rescued three rose plants from starving in pots, by planting them out in the garden. They were part of the belongings of an English couple that died recently in the next village, and no-one was going to look after them, so I had them.

Then I have spent lots of energy covering a few square metres of ground with very well-rotted cow manure. This in preparation for the Dahlias I will be planting out, all being well, when the cuttings have taken and the frosts have gone.

You coming to France? Do tell all!

Cogitator - Metaphorically speaking via your blog.

I love love love Dahlias but have never had any luck with Canna Lily plants - especially the orange ones for some strange reason. I love the yellow ones when they are in a large bed altogether blooming thru the summer. I have too many trees here to afford much sun for anything.

Your ground preparation is just perfect. (and stinky..) ha!

I'm glad you rescued the rose plants! Go, Cogitator!

I think Tom Eagerly is quite witty but it doesn't read so funnily since you (quite rightly!) deleted the first two comments.
Tom seems to follow me around but he has stirred a few things up and, on balance, I think the blogosphere is better with him in it!
I have advised him to get his own blog.
