Mimi Gets I.N.K. ~ You Saw It Here First
I caved.
I knew it would happen.
I knew that one day my friends who shall remain nameless Starr, Julie, Ann, Katherine, Vinny, Nancy, Songbird and tag-along Travis Dancing Bee who've been after me forever to get "inked" EVEN to the point of making wonky wild promises for the upcoming Atlanta trip just to coax me to do it...I knew that one day one of them would convince me to offer up my lily white Queen body (compliments of Elizabeth I) and get a tattoo.
I don't know why I decided today was the day. It just seemed right, ya know?
Easter vacation starts now. It's a good a time as any. New beginnings. Flings to fling. Places to go. People to see.
Peace globe signs with blue ink on wet skin.
I think I feel a patch of wildness coming on.
It didn't hurt toooo much. I only fainted three times.
Isn't it me?

You better have one for real or Kat and I are gonna have to get you drunk and finish the job :P
if this is ephn April Fools I promise you...Starr will be correct...
Heheheheheheheheheheeeee!
For the record, this Dancing Bee is not among those pressuring Queen Mimi of the Pencil Skirt to ink herself. I'm not saying she should and I'm not saying she shouldn't.
I'm just saying I'm not saying.
But if you did...a Peace Globe would be the thing.
Starr - Now that would be a sight. And who would drive you to the mall? HUUUHH???
I think not.
Kat - I knew the whole thing was a conspiracy. I'm prepared. Trust me. I can handle the two of you.
They don't call me pencil skirt for nuthin' ya know.
Cheshire Bridge Rd is a hop skip and jump from the hotel. And Rob is a doll :P
Travis - That's why I said you were a tag-along. Don't tell the girls but there were will be no ink on the Queen.
Needles??? Are you kidding????
On ME?
On purpose?
WHY?
Rob...Cab...makes no difference to me.
and if you want to do it stone cold sober that is perfectly acceptable to me.
Oh. Now we have an address and a parlor. I should have known.
Did you make me an appointment too??
Kat - I'm doomed.
The two of you have tag-teamed.
Cancel your reservation NOW while you can, My Queen. If you get one that means the I have to suffer injury as well. The things you get me into...Run!!
Nope, not me. I never said a WORD. Not. Me.
Are you suuuuure, Songbird? Hmmmmm?
Mimi, you really had me there! I was reading the post with my jaw on the floor! That is so funny. I just can't tell you what I was thinking as I read it!
golly, you had this beagle going for a minute there :)
I will be the driver indeed - and then I will take the pictures with my cool camera!!!!!
Did I tell you I have a tattoo?
I'm innocent.
Okay dear lady. I'm not sure what had me more aghast...the fact that wasn't your sexy belly or the fact that you didn't actually get the tattoo.
Okay...here's my thought. I need permanent SUN..and you need permanent PEACE. Are we the only gals here that aren't inked?
I can feel a wild time in NC if I ever get there. If you haven't done it first!
Hahahahah It finally took my comment! I think it felt threatened when it found out that I just emailed it!
I fell for that... I must be off my game :)
lol, that was cute! I fell for it too.. lol...
beautiful page...
Bazza - Ha! I fooled the Cowboy from England. What were you thinking?
Gary - He he he he he...
Vinny - You instigator you! I knew you were behind the scenes in this mischief. Camera indeed.
I am the designated driver!!! That is my job. Remember?
The first thing I'm saying to you at the airport is...."Hand over the camera."
Akelamalu - No, you didn't! What is it? Fascinating!
Anndi- - Innocent my royal behind.
Julie - What do you mean that isn't my sexy belly? How dare you!!
P.S. Julie - You are welcome here anytime. You know that.
Don't sweat it. I won't have a tattoo by the time you get here. But I will gladly find a place for you and hold your hand while you get one.
(with my camera....)
If I can look.
Dawn - Bwaahaaahaaa...
Then I must be good. Ha!
Xmichra - I had April Fools' jokes played on me all.day.long.
Payback was justified.
Sir Thomas - I knew a bikini picture would lure strange men here. Not that you're "strange"....oh, you know what I mean. Welcome to my world.
Well, well, well. How is the lovely and pleasant Mimi doing these spring days? Boy, have I missed blogging with you. A very long story. Ya got a month? Major, major computer problems. Among other issues.
For a minute, there, I was hoping you had it done. But to my chagrin - nope. What? Not nerve enough? I'm going to get a tatoo. Just haven't decided on what part of my body. I plan on doing your last meme.
OMG - you so had me going! I was thinking...it's kinda plain for the queen...most tatoos to me kinda are. Only because I could never do it. Regardless, glad you didn't - very good fool ya pulled there, Mimi.
first off....we best be finding out what constitutes kidnapping in Georgia...gotta find a loophole.
Maybe see if Rob knows a good attorney or at least a judge we can bribe.
Bobby ala Mimi - Nice to see you back again. Computer issues? Too bad. That can be very frustrating.
Looking forward to your meme. Please let me know when you've finished and make sure you sign the Mr. Linky so others can read. Yay!
Chuckie - I cannot either. Needles and me. Nope.
Katherine - LOL
I can see this trip is going to be....challenging....to say the least.
Let's face it. I'm a chicken.
Oh, I'm going to LIKE you!!
Hi! Just stopping by to thank you for visiting and following my blog! I'm so glad you did, your site is a HOOT!! I'm your newest follower! Cheers!!
If my torso looked that good, I sure as hell wouldn't ink it up.
Nice fooling!
Oh hell. And you had me at flings to fling.
But secretly, I'm relieved.
Ink scares me.
Thank you SO MUCH, Mimi, for stopping by the humble Casa Hice and leaving a comment. I'm still swooning at the thrill.
Really.
Truly.
Honestly.
Unlike YOU, April Fooler.
You are a hoot tho, so you're excused.
Anything - Welcome to my insanity!! I liked your blog too. I decided to check out some of Vodka Mom's readers in her followers list and found a ton of really awesome blogs today. Yours..among them.
I shall be by. And thanks for visiting!
Goddess - I was in a fooling mood. Gotcha? Yay!
I do think, no kidding, it's time to fling a few flings.
Alix - Hi! Thanks for reading and commenting on my foolery mood. Ink...not for me but I have lots of friends who do. To each his own. Some of the ink I've seen is really beautifully done.
My daughter has more than enough tattoos for our entire family... and wants more... I was thinking you really DID get one... until I read all of the comments on this post...
Chicken..:oD
~shoes~
I'm catching up on posts after the trip to NYC and a few busy days at work. Sorry I missed this on the actual April Fools Day. Funny joke! Ha!
My son and I have an agreement that we are going to get our first tats together. It's just a matter of time. You gave me a good idea with the peace sign! I'll have to put it somewhere where I can take/post a picture of it! My belly is not one of The Best Parts! LOL
You had me going, I must say. But when I saw the headline in my reader, the thing that came to mind was definitely NOT a tatt.
(Fingerprints maybe, but not a tatt.)
