And It Cuts Like A Knife ~ Michael Jackson (1958 - 2009)

When his voice was young and pure and his life not so tortured, I remember this emotion packed performance. I suppose his passing seems all the more tragic because we watched him grow up before our eyes - from a boy to a man and back to child it seemed.

Eccentric, he was. Electric, he was.
Ever ever evolving, he was.

But then again, aren't we all.
My favorite Michael Jackson song is "You Are Not Alone" shown below. In the short video clip from the Copenhagen History Tour in 1997, Jackson gives an a cappella improvised ending for his fans.
The lyrics remind me that love can cross miles and distance
and even bittersweet goodbyes Rest in peace.
The questions for tomorrow's Samantha's Saturday 9 are about those entertainers the world lost this week. Stop by and play.

"She's Out of My Life" has always been one of my favorite songs but I much prefer the version by 98 Degrees when they sang it acapella. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

Michael Jackson was only 12 days older than I but I don't believe that there is a single thing I could relate to him on other than our ages and the fact that I loved his music right up until he got weird for lack of a better word. Sadly, it doesn't surprise me that his life ended the way it did but it was definitely way, way too soon.

I hope he's found the peace he couldn't seem to find here on earth as he sings with the angels and teaches them all how to cloud-walk.

I can still remember his songs and his concert.
I was merely a kid when I started listening to his songs and never grew tired of wathing his videos
A great entertainer and a greater loss to us all

Sadly, I think he tried too hard to evolve and never was able to let it happen naturally.

I hope Michael finds peace now, the peace he didn't have on Earth. I'm not really surprised that he left us at a young age. He joins many other icons and huge talents who were addicted to some kind of substance.
I'm thinking about Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland and Elvis.

My sentiments exactly.

I am trying very hard to find the words to write about the impact that Micheal Jackson had on my life.

A eccentric artist but well loved indeed! There is not a song of his that I did not like. I loved them all!

Perhaps now he will find the peace he was so desperately looking for in this life. I hope that he is happy and knows how much his music has touched people.

Peace.

I loved the song Ben but it was all down hill from then as far as I was concerned.
Still it was a sad way to go and it may be sadder than we realize yet. I am sure there is much more to come out about it all.
