Ten Honest Things ~ Diversity In The Blogosphere
Hmmm......This award came with an assignment. I shall try to pencil-skirt-it-for-ya and answer accordingly. I'd like to thank Lulu at Lulu's Petals for bestowing upon me The Honest Scrap Award. Very cool!
Here are the rules:
"When you receive the prize, you must write a post showing it, together with the name of who has given it to you, and link them back. Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in their content or design. Show their names and links and leave them a comment informing that they were prized with 'Honest Weblog'. List [if you can and/or dare] at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!"
My seven choices for brilliance in content or design:
1. Sandy @ Writing In Faith - aesthetically beautiful words on the page
2. Sanni @ Sanni-licious - sassy and sweet style
3. Eric @ Speedcat Hollydale's Page - the guy has nerve (and lots of chicken!) Did you know he could sing?
4. Sandee @ Comedy Plus - Daily reliable hysterical commentary and host of The Comment Game for your weekend entertainment
5. Judd @ Sunday Stealing - a brilliant concept. He memes to new heights.
6. Jean-luc @ Captain Picard's Journal - Caption of The USS Enterprise and a heck of a story-teller
7. Starr @ Here Comes A Girl In The Form Of A Girl - teller of European tales and mistress of the song
Ten Honest
1. I am allergic to online dating.
2. I am allergic to NASCAR.
3. I am allergic to NASCAR dates and flannel at the same time.
4. I can read the foreign language known as "music" but not Japanese. That makes no sense.
5. Mice terrify me.
6. When I start a book I must finish it, even if I don't like it - just to give it a chance.
7. I've read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation - twice. The first time I memorized facts.
The second time I digested them..
8. I love strings/cellos in a rock 'n roll song
9. I wear my glasses on my head and still lose them ten times a day.
10. Obama is my President.

Thank you Mimi. I'll probably end up in the dungeon again as I don't want to follow these rules. Lately everything seems so much work where blogging is concerned. I'm thinking about giving up Entrecard. I'm overwhelmed it seems. So, throw me in the dungeon. I could use the rest.
Have a great day and weekend. Big hug. :)
I Like Prizes! On My Phone @ Work ... Speedcat
My sister is terrified of mice. Hey did I ever tell you I caught a rat with my hands once...okay it was I was wearing a ski glove at the time, but I still caught it.
No dungeon for me! You'll see my answers on my Journal.
Congrats on your award...I always like reading your answers-genious!
They have pills for those allergies...
I will give this meme a try over the weekend, Mimi! I haven't done one in a while. I will think up my list and get to it later. God bless, and thanks for thinking of me.
You're afraid of mice? I'm afraid of squirrels, which are really just mice with better tails. Come by my blog, if you have room on your cyber mantle for another award.
I am copy and pasting Mimi ... do you have any construcion paper?
YHAAAA HOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!
I knew there was someone out there in the blogosphere who liked me ((((smile))))
... can I get a "Man of Integrity" too ???
Great Award and List. :)

ALL DONE!!!
Thanks Mimi
Good job Meeems!
I always wear my glasses on my head and they are constantly falling..into the washing machine, the dishwasher, the sink and yes even the toilet bowl while scouring it!!! I refuse to wear that chain around my neck... so it is what it is!
Yah! obama!
xo
So...does #8 mean you're a DMB fan? Boyd Tinsley is my hero. :)
You're allergic to FLANNEL? Who knew?
I love your list, Mimi. :-)
I have a blog meme/challenge with a difference for you.Not mine, a very fascinating blogger I found recently.

I am ALSO allergic to online dating and all things NASCAR!
ha ha ha ha
There you go dissin' on the flannel again! Seriously, you need to get a good over-sized flannel shirt and laze around in it all day some Sunday. Then you'll truly appreciate how wonderful it is to wear flannel.
Unless, of course, you're really allergic to flannel. In that case, forget I said anything.
Sandee - Entrecard was a waste of time for me. I'm sorry you're feeling down about blogging. We all need a break now and then.
I think I could use one now myself!
No worries about the dungeon.
Eric - So glad to oblige.
Tammy - On PURPOSE??! I would have died a slow death. Make that a quick death.
Jean-luc - I shall report to the USS Enterprise momentarily.
Georgie - Hi! I need to check out your blog and catch up on the reading. How nice of you to say.
Have a great weekend!
Bond - Pills....ha ha ha.
Sandy - You are so welcome. I can't imagine you have any addictions though..maybe writing. And photography! So brilliant with those.
Gal - Jumping on top of tables afraid. Screaming afraid. Ridiculous afraid.
Squirrels? Yep. They are rats wtih longer tails. In Canada, they are black. Don't go there. They really DO look like rats.
Once, I went to the park and left the windows down in the car. When I returned, a family of squirrels had moved into the backseat. It was horrible!!!!
I think I need medication just thinking about it.
See ya....
Speedy - You ARE a man of integrity. Consider it done.
Barbara - They are a special group of bloggers.
Eric - I am there now. Reading....
Lucy - On the head all the time, sometimes 2 pair. It's embarrassing...
in the toilet? bwaaahhaahha
Autumn - No, but I will check it out!
Julie - Travis says I need to stop with the flannel....sigh. I don't think he knows the whole story. Perhaps we should clue him in.
Michelle - I'm always up for a good meme. Thanks!
Meleah - I know some people like it but I just don't see the point. Seriously, I don't. The cars wreck. People are entertained. I don't get it.
Travis - LOL. "Allergic to flannel" is an inside joke about a date I had last year with a guy who wore a checked flannel shirt on our first date. You have to know the story to appreciate it.
I'll fill ya in later.
No, I am not really allergic to flannel. Unless it's checkered.
And it's a first date.
But on the right guy with a nice pair of fitting jeans. Oh yeah. I could lose my allergy in a New York minute.
Loved the list Mimi and congrats on the award. :)
That's #1, 6 and 7 in common with me.
I have read the bible and the gita and bits and pieces of the Koran.
Congrats for the award and cheers to the new President of the Yoo Ess!
See I KNEW that one day my misadventures in Europe would pay off in the end =) Thanks Madame Mimi! I shall have to ponder on who to give this to!
Akelamalu - Some great blogs there.
Julia - There is a brand spanking new feeling in the US this week. I like this atmosphere of hope.
Starr - I thought it was an interesting award to "award." It requires blogs with "brilliance in content or design"....All seven of my choices are opposites with barely anything in common. I was looking for templates that look "different" and/or and have unique "looks" and consistent themes. Yours certainly qualified.
Good luck!
