I've Taken To My Bed (Update at bottom of post)

You'll find me here.

After spending the night in the emergency room over the weekend, riding in an ambulance, and losing five pounds in 2 days - Queen is not in a good mood.

Neither were they amused by my crown. They didn't even know who I was. Then I met
Brunhilde the Nurse
(details later). I promise to catch up with all of you soon. For now, it's back to the jello and chicken broth.

And as soon as I get out of this flu bug Phenergan-induced bed of hallucinations I'm going to sue the person who invented hospital gowns.

Does this look like something I would wear?!

UPDATE Thursday evening August 14th: Feeling stronger but taking it slow. It is not easy for me to rest on purpose and step away from blog posting - but I must do it. Visiting here and there in short segments and enjoying your posts a few at a time. Working on my lovely peace globes project is stress relief too.. And then it's back under the royal covers.

Thank you so much for being here leaving encouragement and making me laugh. I'll have a few tales to tell shortly. Right now I'm making myself R.E.S.T. But I'm getting VERY antsy.....Sigh. OK OK I'm going!

Can you tell it's been too long since I commented. I love the castle, a lot smaller than I figured for a Queen as yourself. I do hope you are better soon. No the hospital gown does not look like something you would wear. It in no ways implies "pencil skirt"

get well soon xo hmmmm that polka dot pattern might make a cute pencil skirt.

I think I met Brunhilde the Nurse... this does not bode well...
get some rest my Queen and try not to dream of pink polka dots... :(

Oh no, sorry to hear you're poorly sick Mimi. :(

Didn't they have any ermine edged gowns?

The last time I was in the hospital there was a form I had to sign agreeing to leave my dignity at the door. I hope you're feeling better soon, Your Highness. Is there anything this lowly serf can do to comfort you?

Feel better soon! I must agree that the hospital gown is not very fashionable. Maybe some feathery trim would help.

get well and be sure your servants take extra special care of you.

I had that nurse the last time I was in the local hospital. Ugh.

Feel better soon!!!!!!

I'm sorry you are feeling ill Mimi. It's also no way to treat our queen as well. What's wrong with those people. They should know who you are. Everyone else does. Just take care of yourself.

The gown is so NOT you. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

The hospital! Oh Mimi: no Queen belongs there, no matter what kind of gowns they're showing you.
Vanquish the bugs.

You think they should do a "hospital gown" project runway competition?
I'm sure you'd vote for the Pencil Skirt gown!

Hope you feel better soon!!!

Awwwww. Here, can you take just one more sip of broth? There ya go.

You don't try to be too brave, ya hear? Keep the meds and rest going for as long as it takes to feel 100%.

Starr Ann says hi.

Did you eat something that had been royally spoiled to cause such Queenly upset?

Sorry I hadn't stopped by earlier, I am working insane hours this week and they are only going to get crazier as the week progresses. I shall try to stop in from time to time to see how you're doing though.

Now stay in bed, keep your feet up, and just recoup!

Sorry to hear about this. Get well soon...

Oh dear. They put that gown on you? And you let them?

You must be ill.

Take care of yourself.

So, so sorry to hear about this, Mimi. A quick 5 pound weight loss, and Phenergan, so I can just imagine. And then the hospital gown! All of it sounds very unattractive!
Please get well soon, it is important for our Queen to be good looking! ; )

Me. Here. Right now. said...

Mimi - A spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down. Or is that a shot? I could never keep those straight.

Hope you and your broth part ways real soon.

SICK? HOSPITAL? PINK HOSPITAL GOWN?

the horror of it all

Feel better my friend...

Sandee said...

I hope you are feeling better today my queen. Big hug. :)

Jeff B said...

A little birdie told me (ok, it was Sandee) you were feeling blue, or was that green?

Either way I wanted to come by and wish you well.

I hope if that's the type of gown they put you in that there is a "No Photograph" order put in place at the hospital. That would cause just the type of scandel our Queen doesn't need...especially if it's the typical "open air" model in the backside.

I can just see the tabloid headlines now, "Bloggingham's Queen exposed while in bed!"

YIKES!!!

Hope you get back on your feet soon.

Hope to hear from you soon

Ooooh nooooo! No to being sick, no to hospitals and no to that pink something. I'm trying not to stare at it to avoid eye cancer.

Get well soon, oh Queen - and play WIMP with me. =)

I hope you are feeling better Mimi. My queen hasn't been around and I miss her. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

Checking in....and feeling some stronger today. I finally made a few visits and did some online work this afternoon but still would like to slowly move back into full swing.

Wanted you to know I appreciate your comments and friendship so much (that was Mimi talking not the dungeon Queen ahem...) Real life and sickness got in the way of my royal sense of humor last weekend and this week but I suspect that will change in the next few days as I continue to make myself step AWAY from the blog commitment for a few days and R.E.S.T. (NOT easy for me at all)

And this is what I get when I go on a health kick?!
Maybe I should just eat bonbons and drink Godiva and call it a day.......

Sigh.

Mimi Lenox said...

I forgot to leave a huge hug for all of you. Did ya feel it?

Good.

Your Highness,
I didn't stop by Tuesday or Wednesday and last night Ralph told me you had been in a hospital.
I'm so sorry you are not feeling well! I feel guilty that I haven't been by. It's been a crazy week at work for me.

Actually that pink frock is prettier than the white johnny coats they normally give you!
;-)

Just kidding. I know it's not you. At all.

Thinking good thoughts and sending prayers for a quick recovery.

Love,
Patti

Feel better soon! (And, ummm, I rather like the pink of the gown. Sure beats institutional blue!)

Glad to know you're on the mend. Thanks for the update.

On a seperate note, I posted the needs meme...finally. Looks like the dungeon will have to do without me for a while longer.
