Mimi Massage

So there I was.

Southern sticky hot after a rainstorm kind of feeling and nothing to do. It's been an interesting week. My love life is teetering on the edge of insanity, the prisoners are getting restless in the dungeon (I really need to let them out more) and most everyone in the blogosphere has gone to sleep or is on vacation. What's a Queen to do? I had to find something to do besides hide behind lamps and snap pictures.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I declared it Pamper The Queen Day in Bloggingham. A national holiday. Why didn't I think of this before?
Nails.

Pedicure with French tip.
Yes I do have five toes on each foot. It's just that I was standing behind the door when God gave out the feet.

And I was having a lovely day right up until the massage.
The little Vietnamese establishment that pampers me monthly is a hole-in-the-wall place with the most fabulous salon artists (I think) on the planet. I've gone there for four years. A husband and wife team who love to tell me about their travels back home to Vietnam and their part of the world. Vietnamese soap operas or exotic music is usually playing and I love to hear the back and forth animated dialogue between them. It matters not that I don't understand a word. They are the cutest couple you've ever seen.
But today when Rose massaged my feet and legs during the pedicure (it was heavenly) she decided to place the massage chair on high to wake up the sleeping Queen - who was the only one in the shop and feeling quite important and full of herself I might add. Ahhhh.....that is wonderful Rose.....thank you...I'll just doze off now.......I've had a ridiculous week......I deserve this.....
There's nothing like a right jab to the lower left kidney to bring you back to reality. The chair mechanism was so strong it raised my bony body right off the back of the chair and I nearly plunged in the water below. Crown first.
I swear I saw them laugh.
But all is well. I didn't drown and she switched it to low strength. I went back to sleep without losing any important body parts or my dignity.
And more importantly. My feet are very happy.
Hope you have a lovely weekend! I think I'll go shopping now. I've had such a rough rough day....

Our nails and toes look exactly the same. Great minds and all. I had a visual on the spill headfirst. Or was that crown first. Have a great weekend too Mimi. Off to the boat. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)

I didn't realize your highness suffered so much! I wish I had been born into, or married into royalty. As it is, I have to work for a living. Life is so unfair. And by the way...I'm not on vacation! :0)

That dungeon is a powderkeg I tell you ... give them some cake!

Mimi, your feet are perfect. You should see mine - they are hideous. I will show em to ya if you want (smile) ... how daring are you??

Anyhoo, ya, where is everyone? Nobody likes me anymore ... sad and lonesome Speedcat :-(

Thank you for the giggle and reminding me I SOOOOO need a mani/pedi.

Happy feet? The look downright ecstatic!

You deserve the royal treatment, Mimi. I don't know what the hell you did to deserve it, but you do. Always treat yourself like the Queen that you are. And keep shopping. There's gotta be a King out there somewhere! ; )

Mmmmmmm. Open toed red shoes, lovely toes, dainty feet...very nice.

Wait a minute...shoes and toes. How come those words don't sound the same?

Bwahahahahahahahahahaa!

Sorry...maybe that was only funny in my head.

Getting a little royal treatment eh? Mimmi. Hope ya have good fun shopping and great weekend!

A Queen deserves - must have - happy feet. It's in the royal rule book.

Can I come with you sometime and get pampered?

I need some of that!

Put all these pictures together and we have one complete one of you.

Laugh @ Trav...bwahahhahaa!!!

Okay...I have my dad's feet. Seriously. Well..not seriously because his feet were cremated a few years back. But you know....no that's not being disrespectful because he's laughing right now as I whine about my manly feet!

Bwhahahahhahaha

Maybe his ashes on my dresser ARE his feet. I don't know.

Don't tell anyone about those ashes...it's a seekrit.

You are making a movie out of this post, right?

Mimi Lenox said...

Charles - Hope you managed to get one this weekend! Relax...

Star - You are really afraid of having your feet done? Really? It's such an indulgence.

Bond - I let the guards have the day off. Bruno and Guido went to the mall no less and the Queen nearly drowned.

Chuck - I declare it a holiday just for you. Now go do it. Once you do it once, you can't stop! It's like ice cream and potato chips and sex and ice cream and cheetos and all the good stuff in life. Now go!

Lee - I was blogborn into it. It's a tough life sometimes....

Eric - I can honestly say no guy has ever offered to show me his feet. That's a first! You are not seriously posing a dare before the Queen, are you? That is dangerous territory you're walking on with your bare feet there mister.....

Mimi Lenox said...

Turn - Aren't they awesome?

Ferd - I'm apparently more likely to fall in a puddle of water at the nail salon than find Prince Charming. But I so enjoyed the massage...when I wasn't drowning.

Mimi Lenox said...

Travis - Shoes, toes, shoes, toes....not sure what you mean but I respect your right to tell me it's funny. You are so silly!

And thank you for the compliment.

Mimi Lenox said...

Roger - GREAT weekend thus far. Thank you and I wish for you the same.

Patti - You are welcome in Bloggingham anytime. I will give you the royal pampered treatment.
Come on down!

Jean-luc - I think that picture might look a little strange but if you say so....

Mimi Lenox said...

Julie - First I laughed at you laughing at Travis and then I gasped at the thought of the urn....Change the subject!!

Mimi Lenox said...

Bud - Very funny wiseguy....
But I do expect to win a Rising Blogger award for it.

I need to make time for a pedi myself! *sigh*

I think Travis was referring to the fact that with the spelling being what it is, S-H-O-E-S, should be pronounced "shows"...guess you had to be there.

Hope Your Highness is having a great weekend.

But they aren't in an urn. I used the cutest little wine glass. And then I found a peanut still in the shell in one of Dad's jacket pockets...it's by the wine glass.

He loved his peanuts.

Well....I would have changed the subject, but.....
