Saturday 9: Summer Movies and Oil

Nine crazy questions from Crazy Sam on a crazy Saturday9 Saturday. Ain't it crazy? Today Sam wants to talk about gas prices and vacations. I wasn't gonna get into this on my blog but she forced me. Once you start playing her meme games you're hooked. I don't know how she does it. That Sam is crazy I tell ya. Crazy.

1. The other day I purchased gas for $3.96, which was less than the $4.37 my local station charges per gallon. What is the current gas price in your area for regular?

How would I know? I never look at the price and never pump my own gas (true) and won't even if it goes to $10.00 a gallon. As it is now station owners should at least serve caviar and Starbucks while you wait. I'm a Queen ya know!

2. Will your vacation plans be altered by the price of gas?

I've decided to put caviar in my tank. Looks like oil.....doesn't it? Maybe I should tell someone. This could solve the energy crisis in this country.

3. Is there any movie this summer that you're looking forward to seeing this summer?
Bumpety Boo with Baby Boy - for the 160th time. The car talks in this riveting drama. That's Boo to the right having a conversation about stopping for gas. The makers of this film may have to halt production because of gas prices. Oh Bumpety Boo what will we do??

I'll miss you so......

4. Gas prices aside, what is your favorite vacation destination?

Italy. My plan is to sit in a plane with Mr. Handsome and fly to some Bistro in the sky. Oops. That's France. Do they have caviar in France?
5. Will you watch more film on DVD than in theaters this summer?
I generally do not watch movies unless I am on a date and everybody who's anybody knows you don't watch movies when you're on a date so no I don't watch movies. I'll let you know how it went but don't expect me to recap the movie.

6. Will you fly anywhere this summer?
Depends on how the kissing smooching sweet-talking movie-going goes. Then, if he plays his cards right we may come back to Bloggingham and "watch" yet another movie. I hope he likes yellow talking cars. It's so romantic!

7. Guess: How high will a gallon of gas peak at?

Sam, why are you so obsessed with gas prices? Putting on psychiatrist hat (Sam lies down on couch) Were you ever traumatized at a service station as a child? Do you find yourself hyperventilating at the site of pumps?

Visualize these. They're not scary at all.

8. Will gas prices effect who you vote for in this fall's election?
Only if I can't buy the gas to get to the polls.

9. How much will the price of home heating oil effect you?

None. If I don't buy any I'll be cold. Does that answer your question, Sam? Huh?

But I have a feeling that if I wear those weaponspumps er....heels and my pencil skirt to the gas station I may never be alone again. They may even do my windshield.
Eureka! And now if you'll excuse me, I have to get ready for a date. He'll be here any minute. We're going to the movies.
See ya later!

Very funny. I'll wait till Bumpety Boo grows up and deals with his questionable sexual relationship...

Bud - Boo has a questionable sexual relationship? I never knew! They start early these days....

Akelamalu - Oh. Please.Do yourself a favor and do NOT mention his name to your grandchildren. You will spend your days with talking yellow cars. Think about.....

Shannon - Me too! Especially now that he has a sexual relationship problem!!

Charles - Thank you. So nice of you to say.

Queen Mimi -

I actually hold a degree in film, believe it or not... and you are missing out on some really great stuff....

Loved all your responses this week. I’ve not had anyone offer to pump my gas in years … though I’d love it if someone did. Being Queen does have it’s advantages ;--)

I’m running late this weekend because my computer balked in the HEAT WAVE yesterday and I had to turn it off. I've posted my Saturday 9 a couple of hours ago (on Sunday morning) at Small Reflections … then ate some breakfast, watered the yard, then took Molly for a walk … letting my computer cool down a while. Maybe it will let me visit others before giving me fits again. Hope you’ll drop by when time permits.
Hugs and blessings,

Joseph - Laughing....we both are missing out. Let me know how that refund request goes...

Storyteller Sorry to hear about your computer heating problems. Do you have a laptop with a fan underneath? It helps.

Jennyr - The weapons...I mean shoes...are nice. Nothing like high heels to perk up a girl's spirits. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for the suggestion re: the fan. Alas, the REAL problem is it's OLD with only 512mgs of RAM and I'm asking it to do way too much. It'll get a well needed 'break' when my new Dell arrives ... hopefully sometime this week ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

I think I need a new husband! Mine doesn't speak or look at me once we enter the movie theater in case he missed one second of the film (or any of the previews)! Love the marquee at the end of your post.
