The "You Should Be Famous" Award (aka I Really Need To Get Rid of That Dog)

Me?

I'll admit it. Yesterday, I was having a baaaddd week. And long about 10:00 pm I started questioning the wisdom of blogging, the time commitment, the end results (what would they be?) and a million other questions that had me whining up a storm. Some too personal to blog about. Some too private to even splat on the page. A few things to fume about. All relevant to my writer's funk.

Before going to bed, I checked my Technorati stats (I just re-read that statement. Most people apply moisturizing cream, say their prayers or throw on a nifty red teddy with strings in odd places. I make love to Technorati. That's just sad...but I digress...where was I?).... anyway, I found this post on a site called, of all things,
We all know someone who....Should Be Famous. And lo and behold, the powers- that- be decided that Mimi Queen of Everything Bloggable - that's me, Mimi Lenox - should be famous.

Who knew??!

Hush Homer.

But it was balm to my battered soul. A permanent word of encouragement dream weaving its way into my temporary emotional brood - just in time. I'd like to thank Jeane Michelle Culp, who also co-authors Blue Ribbon Bloggers, for taking the time to write this review. You may read it

here. Should Be Famous has a clever and sincere premise. I wish them luck in the days ahead. And should I ever become famous, my friends, you'll be the first to know. Just giving you a heads up (grin)......
I'm over my funk now.
I'll try not to let all this glory go to my head.
I'd hate for my crown to fall off from narcissism.

I just have one question. If I become famous, does this mean I have to stop blogging?!!

I agree - you should be famous and you are already, at least in the blogsophere. Now let's get the rest of the world in here on this!!

You are famous, Mimi, if not in the traditional sense. There are a lot of us who look to you for inspiration in writing our own blogs. I think you'll be even more famous as time goes on...and I can think of a lot of people that think that's a great idea!

Birthday parties-Good

Pitty parties-Not so much.

OK now it's time to stand up and dust yourself off. Now get back in the batters box and take another swing. There...look at that, a base hit and you're headed for second. Don't look back now. Just keep on runnin' and you'll be headed for home before you know it.

If you stopped posting there would definitely be a void in the blogsphere. There are many of us who have come to appreciate the words of peace and encouragement you bring to our little piece of the globe.

Head up high now, don't let that crown slip off.

What would we do in the bloggosphere if we didn't have your single eye watching over us from that lovely half a face?

Who would keep the memes moving through the bloggosphere?

Who would feed the prisoners in the dungeon? More importantly, who would let them out when they had completed their meme work.

And who would look after Homer?

So, I guess it's settled then. There will be no more talk of not blogging.

Now Miss Pencil Skirt don't you ever stop blogging ~ you are famous in the blogosphere, as the others have said.

Your fame out in the real world is fast approaching, I daresay.

thanks for the friendship award, I finally got around to posting it.

Linda - Thanks for being such a true friend to me! I feel that we're all carving out our little corners and platforms. I consider myself linked with lots of famous (and sometimes infamous) people.

Barbara - I will be over today to check out your meme. What are we going to cook? Barbara...you don't know me that well yet. I really can't cook. I mean. Really.

Debbie - It did for me. I needed a boost. It was timely. Thank you for stopping by. I will check out your site.

Lee - That is very sweet. Thank you. I'm glad to make your cyber-acquaintance in my neck of the woods.

Jeff -My crown is firmly anchored, sir. But thank you for the words of encouragement.

Travis - It's interesting. The part people picked up on was my introspective musings on blogging. I think my writing must be more transparent than I realized. No, not blogging is never an option. Blogging smarter might need an adjustment.

I appreciate your friendship and your warmth. You are one of a kind, my friend. Thank you.

P.S. But I don't think anyone will care if there's no here directing meme traffic.

Jeni - I appreciate that as well.

Patti - Your friendship has reached beyond the blog. I am so glad to have met you.

Sandee - You just made A List Blogger!! That is outstanding. Congratulations! And thank you for the mention in your blog today.

Akelamalu - I haven't visited lately. Having trouble loading your blog. I will get by soon. Miss your tales.
