All Peace Is Breaking Out ~ In France
Barbara also posted some amazing photographs of The Wall for Peace - Le mur pour la paix - which is across from the The Eiffel Tower. Forty-eight different languages spell the word peace.
Much like we send our messages of peace around the world on peace globes each year, visitors can put their messages of peace in the chinks of the wall. The wall was inaugurated in 2000 by the President of the French Republic.

Hi Mimi,
WOW ! Thank you for the write up ! I'am flattered.
It was my pleasure to share these photos of this very touching monument.
Anyone that will one day be heading to Paris, cannot miss it. Across from the Eiffel tower, keep on going towards the lawns in front of the école militaire. And voila.
I like the artistic and humanitarian values of this monument. Some say peace with sqiggly lines or geometric type symbols.Others with words using our same alphabet. And there is even the word for peace in Braille.
So cool :)
Peace to all, and Thank you again Mimi.
Thanks for stopping by Writing in Faith, Mimi. I was going to decoate the peace globe but found I liked it just the way it is.
I'm glad to see all you've posted here. What inspiritation!

I agree Barbara's was one of those I mentioned when you were on Mo's show...one of the blogs that touched me on that very peaceful day...

Hi Mimi,
thanks for sharing this! Though I live in Europe myself, I wasn't aware of this Wall of Peace..
It sounds somewhat similar to Yoko Ono's initative, the Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland, you're probably aware of?
I love what you're doing with this site, I'm really sorry I wasn't able to join in on your inspiring Blog Blast for peace..
Peace to you,
Ellen
