Monday Mimisms: Royal Cats and Regal Globes

Peace Globe designed by 2CarolinaCats ~ Finnegan and Buddy ~ North Carolina

I knew it would happen.
It did.
I've fallen in love with the cats again.
It's peculiar.

I'm not a "cat person." (shhh.....don't tell the Cat Blogosphere or they'll never let me in) and I don't even own a cat. My friends don't own cats. My family remains catless. My boyfriend doesn't own a cat. Not even friend of friends own cats. So what gives?!
They do this to me every year. Oh the pressure. When BlogBlast for Peace rolls around you can always count on the kitties to get the ball rolling, so to speak.
So this year I decided to get a cat. I had to! See?

Do you think anyone will notice it's not a real cat?
And get this. Luxor

the Whitest of Cats, claims he's royalty no less. He catspeaks, "Um ... I'm a cat, specifically an Oriental Shorthair. But my Peculiar Aristocratic Title is "His Highness Luxor the Undulant of New Invention." I am also a "poltergeist sent back in time to change the course of history forever." Believe it.

I believe it! I believe it!
I all started earlier this week with that gang from the midwest called The Missouri Meowers
aka Nelson LaPurr, Edmund Percival Hillary, Nitro S Pierce, and Xing Lu. They sure do have fancy names.
Then I named them Peace Blogger of The Day and they had the audacity to tell me "we're takin' ofurr the innernets!" And not just that. They've made movies, too.
Apparently Ed courted Miss Midnight and according to the Meowers "his valentine moovie to her is one of the most romantic efurr made in the annals of kitty film."
Get OUT!
This I've got to see.
What's more, they have their own blogging cat noos stand and monthly prayer vigils.
Do you think anyone will notice it's not a real cat?

And just when I thought I'd had all a human bean could take, Luxor sends in this 3D Peace Globe. Amazing!
He does look Kingly.

I'll never get my expensive pedigreed real Persian faux stuffed cat to stand up like that.
All mine wants to do is nap.

And what about the beautiful peace globe at the top of this post?
Made by a cat. Who else?
Finnegan and Buddy 2CarolinaCats, who live near and dear to the heart of Bloggingham Place placed an angel on a globe and voila. It's purrrfectly booteeful.
Meanwhile, I'm back to square one learning catspeak.

I think I'll start with my own perky pooch. I've named her Persian Patti Cakes (descendant of Queen Elizabeth I) and will now attempt to teach her some tricks with my new learnt language.

Do not try this at home.

"Heeerrrreee kitty....heeeerrrreeee kitty."
How's that?
Rats! It's not working.
"Roll over, Patti! Roll over! "
Sigh.
Nothing.

"Here, girl. Fetch!"
Nope.
She's not moving. (How will I explain this to the cats?!)

I think I've got it now. Watch this.

"Stay."

See? I knew I belonged in The Cat Blogosphere.

sweetest miss mimi, you are The Most!

of course you are welcome in the kitty blogosphere. you has been kind enough to invite us into bloggingham palace, and we are honored to have you visit us, anytime, at any kitty home or function. we are not judgemental; we has cats, rats, buns, woofies, fev-ver machines, an' human beans post (although the fev-ver machines an' ratties are kinda nervous sometimes), an' we've learned ofurr time that efurryone has somethin' impawtent to say. so c'mon ofurr an' say it!!

"just a human bean"? naaaaaah--a friend!

Annelisa - Cats do rule. And I am now a proud member of The Cat Blogosphere.

Anybody know where the dogs are? Is there a dog blogosphere that someone might want to antagonize for peace globes??!!

Just sayin...

Bond - I think I will co-exist with Persian Patti Cakes just fine.
So far, she doesn't eat much.

Bee - Why thank you. She is rather cute, I'd say.

Missouri Meowers - I'm honored. I think everyone in the world should be a member of The Cat Blogosphere.
It's a revolution I tell ya....

I love your new kitty, Mimi ... it's white, too! I'm concerned that it doesn't seem to be moving much, though. ?

Welcome to the Cat Blogosphere, my friend!

LOL. One rule of cat co-existence you should keep in mind. You don't "own" a cat...they allow you to live with them.

When I was looking for my condo, a consideration was a second bathroom so he had ample room for his litterbox. Sheesh!

We didn't get the second bathroom. Fortunately we do have an excellent place for his box. He seems fine with a small powder room rather than the full bathroom.

We had the dog conundrum: As the typical guy, I wanted a big oaf of a lab...Patti wanted a small lap dog. The ultimate compromise was a mutt cat named Sir Humphrey...and they all live happily (or at least accomodating) ever after.

I love your new kitty Mimi. My beloved Farley disappeared last August or he'd be flying a Peace Globe of his own. maybe I should get a virtual cat. Hmm ... :-)

Mimi Lenox said...

Travis - Thanks for the clarification. I'll remember that. Taking notes....

I had a chocolate lab once. Lovely and loyal fella. I miss him.

Polliwog - Good idea. Virtual pets virtually take care of themselves. (ha!)

If I can find a dog blogosphere, I wouldn't mind joining... might go looking just now! :-D

Woof, Mimi!

We've been sitting here watching our friend Annelisa working at her Peaceglobes long enough, and seen so many cats joining the blogosphere, we decided it was time to step in and sniff out some support from canine friends in the Dogosphere!

If I find any, I'll send them this way!

*wagging tails*
