Dawn's First Poem on Peace Globe Day

Somewhere in the world it is Dona Nobis Pacem in the Blogosphere.

East Sussex, United Kingdom

Annelisa - spinner of words and gentle soul - took this
photograph from her window at daybreak one recent morn. It reminded me that the world is waking up to peace somewhere. And just for awhile - this day - we can all think on it and wish for it.
Each new dawn is a new beginning. Somewhere.

Annelisa's site is peppered with utterly breathtaking photographs of the sky and other fascinations. Laced with equally beautiful poetry. Take a minute and see what the sky holds for you in East Sussex today.

Her offering is the first Peace Globe post I saw and is best read from her own corner of the world. Click here to read Annelisa's poem, Grant Us Peace and see her globe. I believe it speaks for us all.
Thank you, Annelisa. We are truly honored.

Original photography and poetry by Annelisa.

Beautiful poem. What a great start. I hope it's ok that I posted a little early. But, if I didn't do it now, I know I would forget later. Sorry, it's not as eloquent as Annelisa's poem, but hopefully as poignant. Best of luck with this project. You've worked so hard for it's success!

Mimi, it is we who are honoured - to be part of your dream!

I look forward to seeing how the day progresses, and will be checking up regularly to spot the globes... Well done Mimi!

Yaxlich wishes he could write as eloquently as Annelisa. He stayed up past his bed time and posted his own message. He may well try to write some poetry later. He's struggling with a a rhyme for "dona nobis pacem" but he's sure he'll come up with something.

And a new day dawns. A good day for you and me, and all other people. :-)

Lovely poem by Annelisa. I, too, look forward to seeing all the blog posts about Dona Nobis Pacem today.
