Merry Christmas and Peace On Earth

Dear Baby Boy,

If I could wrap up in a tight ribbon and bow the energy of love and sweetness you bring with each massive little hug around my waist and give it to the world
we would surely all know joy.
If I could take one ounce of the unconditional love I know when you look at me
we would all know love.
And If I could capture the innocent stare of a trusting sage whose eyes never saw war
we would all know peace.

Thank you for bringing me blue whales and bubbles, kisses for no reason, green jello, conversations with God and trains.
You taught me a lot this year.

I love you with all my heart,
Your Mimi

What a lovely post. Through the eyes of children...if we would just listen, they could teach us a lot.

That is actually quite thought provoking.

Jesus did say 'Be like unto children'.

Merry Xmas.

Shannon - That boy is something else. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Patti - I have some catching up to do as well! Merry Christmas.
And I can't wait for the fruitcake!
Or not.

Carol - and amen.

Pam - I'm trying to listen. Really I am.

Crushed - He did say that. They have the wisdom we need.

Baby Boys...

...wake fresh-faced and excited for the adventures of the day.

...get to play trucks.

...run outside and jump into the pile of leaves, just because they were there.

...pause for a PB&J sammich, a glass of milk, and a cookie.

...spin around in circles until they get so dizzy they fall down, giggling.

...look up in the sky and find the shapes.

...ask all the questions, and follow up all the answers with "why".

...sit quietly for story time.

...give the best hugs.

I'm late visiting, but thought I 'd still comment on this warm post full of a child's love. How wonderful. It reminds me of when my kids were kids. Much as I dread the G-word, I know I will love it when the time comes. For now, I'll see it through your eyes. Thanks for sharing the love, Mimi!

In case I never mentioned this...or in case you forgot....make sure you save all the Baby Boy Blosts (that's blog and post) in one place for safe keeping.
