Dumped For A Dog
It is 9:30 pm.
The four-year-old prince has worn me out. After picking him up at 4 o'clock, I am down for the count. I need vitamins to be a grr....gr....grr....I can't say it.
This was the agenda for the past 5 1/2 hours:
- We made peanut butter crackers- green jello (he made it all by himself) Tell me that is not his hand in the jello. OK. Don't tell me.
- cooked homemade spaghetti and french fries (He told me it wasn't any good and pretended to have a stomach ache. Who taught this child to tell the truth?)
- played Barney, Thomas Train and Fifi games on the computer
- got in the floor and played "roar like a lion" (I am too old for this, People)
- discussed the fascinating question of the day "Why did the snake kill Adam and Eve and where did they go when they died?"
(Who told this child to pay attention in Sunday School and why can't he ever ask me simpler questions like how to reduce the national deficit?)
- and gave fifteen rubber aquatic bug-eyed animals in the bathtub a complete bubble bath with a storyline and footnotes. The shark was fierce and ate all the babies. That's all I have to say about that.
It was traumatic.....
It was traumatic.....
- ate more peanut butter crackers and finished the green jello
He is squeaky clean.
I am squeaky tired.
This week has been a non-stop marathon of nightlife! I'm beat!

"I'm sleepy, Baby Boy. We've been playing non-stop for five hours. I'm tuckered out."
Expecting to get a whine I was surprised to hear him cheerfully say, "I'm tuckered out, too, Mimi!" and jumped under the blanket with me on the couch.
We snuggled.
I gave him one more squeeze before we started to drift off.
And then, "It's good to cuddle up with somebody, Mimi."
"It sure is, Baby Boy, it sure is."
"I'll just go get my doggie," he said.

I see this boy knows the value of a good woobie. Snuggles are always enhanced by the addition of a woobie.
Wow, that was a big day!!!! I'd be worn out, too...and I'm not four!
get you some fish oil pills mimi, and have a nap...
smiles, bee
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Oh man, kids have such energy. I'm glad I had mine when I was fairly young, because I wouldnt' have the energy now.
I'll just go get my doggy. Bwahahahahaha. You are right they do wear you down. It's much better when they are older. They have their own stuff to do that doesn't necessarily involve us. Have a great weekend my queen. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)
Guess what. In 19 years, his visits will still wear you out!
My nephew is 23, today's his birthday. I still call him Baby Boy, so everytime you write about this 4-year-old, I'm transported back to when Vince was that age.
Thanks for that trip back in time today. I'll tell him about this post at his big dinner tonight.
Trav - You're just trying to make me feel better. I know when I've been dumped. And for a woobie....oh the shame.
Lois - And I worked all day first (swallowing fish oil and vitamins...)
Bee - Done!
Charles - You can say that again. You would think he never gets any attention! Do you think I've spoiled him?
Sandee - I want to encapsulate this marvelous age though...I don't want him to grow up too fast. I will miss this, I know.
Margo - Give Vince a big hug for me and happy birthday from Bloggingham Palace.
Even after all that it sounds like a great day!
Shannon - Exhausted or not, it's always a great day with Baby Boy. He is soooo mischievous at times....
How many times have I told you two words...
TAKE-OUT
And you LOVED every second...
It must have been great!
A dog is a boy's best friend.
Bond - You know me so well. I should have listened this time.
Bud - Of course I did. Even playing second fiddle to a stuffed doggie. Sigh.
Anndi - Apparently so!
Now you're looking at this all wrong. When he says he's going to get his doggy, you say you're going to get yours too!
Then you BOTH have a woobie!
It's G-R-A-N-D-M-A, Your Highness, and it's badge of honor you should wear proudly. Even though you're worn out I know you had the time of your life.
From one grandparent to another!
Travis - Am I not supposed to be his woobie, Travis? Huh? Huh? (Perhaps I'm being a tad sensitive today...)
Lee - I did. I did. I do. I do!
awwww...just totally awwww.
I sooo want to be a gramma...
LOL they just tell it like it is don't they Mimi?
He'll learn some day, like my son has, that cuddling with a human is sooooooo much better than a stuffed animal - we cuddle back!
Katherine - He makes me go awww....every time I look at him. You just wait. It is something else!
Akelamalu - They SURE do. I wish we all could keep that quality and never become "politically correct."
Songbird - Good point!
