Virgin Flight of the Peace Globes

What a wonderful day I've had exploring the universe for Peace Globes. I found some incredible sightings and wanted to share them with you. I've put the globes in a film loop which should launch shortly at the top of my blog - if Blogger decides to cooperate. That should keep me inspired for the next ten years or so. And busy! Hope it inspires you too.

Go to to make your own flash ticker if you wish and insert your favorite sightings. It's easy once you get it downloaded. You can put it anywhere you please on your page. You can also add animation and music. It's totally free. All you have to do is place the code in your template and you're off and running......I mean spinning. The name of the flash ticker above will be

I'm still adding text, links, globes and graphics. Many globes are not on the ticker yet but are in Frank's fabulous gallery in the sidebar.
Behold the virgin flight of the Peace Globes!

This experience has made a profound impact on me. I am just beginning to envision the possibilities for next year's BlogBlast. I do plan to host a "Post For Peace"marathon sometime midyear to remind us to get our globes ready for another spectacular presence.

We did it!

Cat Bloggers Rock!

Mims, your film loop is awesome!
Once NaNoWriMo is over, I must do one of these!

But today, I've pledged myself that I shall actually UNPLUG the ethernet cord from my laptop at 11am and it cannot be plugged back in until a new chapter is written!!!

Peace, my friend ~ mo

Hi Mimi
I love the spinning globes. spent all day yesterday globe hunting too. I have about 30 more to post to the gallery! Googled Dona Nobis Pace 11/7 and came up with over 11000 hits. Just recieved an email from picasa stats, and the gallery has had 1100 views in the past three days! November 7 had over 600 alone :)
Still adding more catptions to their globes, and making more Country Flag globes too. I've left a note in the gallery bio for bloggers to leave comments on their globes incase of any errors in link or behind wrong country globe, etc, or to email their globes to me if I've haven't tracked them down yet.

I'd love it if they left comments about their blog too, or any Peace thoughts they'd like to share.

I'd really like to fill this gallery!
Talk to you later :)

I hope you're feeling well chuffed with yourself Mimi. Yes, we did it. But, we wouldn't have done without you. Not only was it our 'statement' or plea, but I really enjoyed it too... and still am!

Frank wrote that he'd nabbed the globes on my site and I came to look at them this morning, spinning round, turning round, and my daughter got really excited because hers was one of the first she saw!! :-) I think she'll remember today, and Tuesday!

Did you get some rest yet? And did you catch up with your missed chapters? :-)

If you have a moment sometime, you should come and see yourself in my latest poem :-) (you won't miss you - your lines are obvious...)

Catch you soon!

ps- that is great about the number of visits, Frank... maybe some of the ones who visited, and didn't quite manage the globe this year, might have a go next year...

Fighting for peace is like f(*ing for virginity.
