Killer Flu Round One, Mimi Round Two

I haven't blogged in 12 days. I think that is a Bloggingham record. Blogging involves sitting up. Sitting up long I cannot do. So I'll make this short and sweet.

Did you know that the flu can kill ya?
After 8 days with a fever I ended up in the hospital isolation wing dehydrated with a secondary respiratory infection. (The things I tell on this blog) But I'm sure they only put me in isolation to hide me from the paparazzi because of my royal heritage.

Antibiotics and fluids work wonders.
I intend to be fine and dandy in no time.
But I'm gonna need more rest. Then I'll have some stories to tell....

Thanks for the cards, inquiries, texts, emails and phone calls. They mean a lot.

By order of the Queen of Bloggingham:
Get your flu shots.
That is all.
Back to bed.

I am sorry that you have been so sick. That is just terrible.

If I knew you address I would send you a card. I am sending you some virtual chicken noodle soup. It works wonders for your spirit.

Please take good care of yourself.
Love and hugs.

Had my flu shot, so I feel safe in sending you this eHug without wearing my eMask!
Get well soon, my Queen!

Good Lord, and here I thought you were on a nice secluded vacation somewhere warm! Not exactly, huh?

Dehydration can be really bad news - so glad that they got you treated and on the road to recovery though, yes, you're going to need some more rest to fully recover.

I've always gotten a flu shot - especially considering they give them to us free at work. I figure better safe than sorry.

Take care - drink lots of tea!

You know I always say to drink lots of water.

I got my flu shot early, and we upped the intensity of our V-C also. We've been remarkably free of illness this winter.

Oh dangit! I just jinxed it. Better find the right warding off ritual when I get home from work.

Take care!

Ouch. I'm glad you seem to be coming around. I had the flu last year in the spring and man it was bad for sure.

I knew you had to be really sick to not post in so long. I'm so sorry that bug got you. It laid me low back in January and I'm still not fully recovered. And, I hate to say this, but I got a flu shot back in October. Evidently it didn't cover this bug...
Sending you best recovery wishes.

Hello lovely friends,

Thank you for the well wishes. I am still out of work, feeling some better though and running a low temp again. Oh joy! I need a bit of p.a.t.i.e.n.c.e.....but I hear this is normal course for a true case of the dreaded flu.

Back to the Tylenol bottle and bed. Thanks for cheering me up.

Mimi

Jamie - I will try to remember to throw a few surgical masks down the stairs into the dungeon. Homer is no help these days. He's afraid of me.

@mimi-rest and fluids is what your body needs. Green tea with honey is good. Take warm baths as you can manage. All the best.

Sleep and drink tea and water. That is the ticket. And DON'T PUSH IT.

Oh, Mimi, I am so sorry. That's because I have been in the dungeon because I haven't been around in a great long-o-while. Please get better real soon.
