Update: Pencil Skirt On a Date?
Sat am: I'm cooking pancakes. I broke my spatula. This could be the end of a beautiful friendship. And the beginning of indigestion. I'll keep you posted.I have a date this weekend and a friend coming to Bloggingham Palace as well. All in the same weekend! Getting things in order and very excited about enjoying some much needed rest, relaxation and fun. Should be very interesting and I shall report on Monday when I return to the blogosphere. Hmmmm......If it's bloggable.
I brought some fall leaves inside for the table, swept the moat and drugged the prisoners in the dungeon so they'll be quiet. I can't have them whimpering and whining while we're dancing in the kitchen looking at the lovely leaves. Now can I?
Things should go nicely. One is taking me out and the other is cooking for ME - but not on the same day. (You didn't think I'd ruin a perfectly good friendship and his large intestine by cooking, did you?)
I know what you're thinking....This is already a disaster in the making.
You can count on it.
See you Monday!
I have to press my skirt.

You're letting someone cook for you on a first date? You are a trusting soul, Mimi!
No, Lee. Two separate people.
The FRIEND is cooking. The date is taking me out.
Sigh.
uhhh Lee......who said it was a first date?
Mimi, maybe the date is expecting you to pay your way. Better be prepared. It's a new world, you know.
it's Wednesday...and you are signing out until MONDAY??
You best be bloggin' about it all...no matter if you think it's "bloggable" or not...sheesh.
What are you gonna do if the date goes so well he wants to go out again while your "friend" is there??
(like the autumn photos by the way)
have fun...don't do anything I....oh....never mind...
Patti - Hmmm...I don't think so.
Have fun!
I consulted the cosmic karma and you are NOT destined for disaster this weekend.
Katherine - LOL. I have a lot to do! Would it make you feel better if I changed the date on the post to Thursday?
And I have no cotton-pickin' idea what I'm gonna do if the yummy (and I do mean yummy) date wants to go out again while my friend is here?! Sometimes I just have to fly by the seat of my pencil skirt in these matters.
But really. I am not going to leave my friend alone. That would be extremely impolite. Handsome guy will just have to understand - and if he doesn't, then he's not the guy I thought he was.
At least that's my theory.
Travis - Am I glad you did that. I feel so much better now. Thanks!
Have a wonderful time Miss Mimi.
I've given you an award, 'cause you are the talk of the town!

Oooh can't wait to hear all about it! :)
friends, dinners, dates -- glad you have such wonderful things to look forward to this weekend!
cheers,
mo
Holy cow...when it rains....well, it gets wet, I guess....
have a great weekend...and if the yummy man wants a date - i bet the friend will understand and just spend the time alone cooking for you so you have food for when they leave....
that and probably torturing those in the dungeon....
Thanks for comming by. I keep bumping into peace globes. It's amazing to see it unfold.
Sounds like your in for a great weekend, enjoy.
Polli I can't be the talk of the town just yet. I've lost one of my yellow curlers. It fell down the sink drain and now my hair is lopsided.
Odat - Checking on the brother....
Deana- I don't try to cause trouble. It just happens.
Bundle-O - Maybe I'd better stop by your site and see what you do! Thanks for the tip.
Matt - You're so right. I need to have something to repent for Monday morning. I heard that you have connections at the Trinity Broadcasting station. Maybe you can get me a priest of something. That's not right. They don't have priests there, do they?
Akelamalu - Me and my big mouth.
MO - Good times with new and old friends. Something to celebrate, yes.
Bond - Some friend I have huh.....
Jeff - I'm still "bumping" into peace globes too. It's wonderful.
Ha, ha, ha! Matt and TBN! Somehow that's NOT a pairing I can imagine! Jan's hairdo probably outweighs him!
Your still life of leaves against the sheer curtains is really lovely. Have a terrific time of it this weekend!
~~~Blessings~~~
Have a great weekend, Mimi, and I won't be rude and ask for date details. I won't, I won't, I won't.
But have fun, 'kay?
Have a grand time. Hope all works out well. :)
Hi Mimi, I hope you have a great weekend. Sounds like a busy, fun time. I love the photographs of the fall leaves. Regards, Carver
Well my darling...I'm back and sitting and my computer thinking of you! How are you? I've been very very sick.
But life is about to begin again. In a new way...a new day. Things will actually be crazier. But that's good. I'm going to try to call you tomorrow night my dear...just to catch up...I adore you!
