Lots of exciting things happening in the Blogosphere this week. Another Blog Carnival initiated by Bobby Griffin from Bestest Blog Of All-Time fame is being hosted by Dr.Blogstein. CHECK IT OUT. It's called Funniest Posts of 2006. You might find some familiar bloggers (me!!) and a few new comedians who deserve recognition. These stories kept me in stitches. Brew a pot of coffee and get ready to giggle.
Morgen over at It's A Blog Eat Blog World will host the next carnival. Send your submissions by January 10th to participate. Don't miss it!
To a blogger, winning a 2007 Weblog Award is like winning an Oscar or an Emmy! Winners are chosen by the public and nominations for this prestigious award are currently being accepted. The contest is open to any weblogs that existed for a period of time during the year 2006. Click over and check out the categories and rules for nominating. Please consider nominating Mimi Writes for Best New Weblog or Best Writing of a Weblog. This would be an incredible opportunity for our Peace Globe movement! It is possible to nominate three blogs for this award. There are other categories as well for any of your favorite bloggers. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE.
Lizza from the Philippines, author of the popular I Am Woman, See Me Blog! had an awesome post this week and shed some real emotion with her usual grace and hutzpah. It's called Reality-Bytes. I just loved it. Always a huge fan of Lizza's, she doesn't disappoint with this insightful post. I admire her spunk, her intellect, her genuine spirit. She put to pen what been churning in my own mind this week on the subject of blogging friends; particularly how quickly one can generate real affection and regard for like-minded souls we find in cyberspace.
It's a must-read. Bring the hankies. Then let Lizza know how much you appreciate her.
My alter-ego spoofy dating site, called Dating Profile Of The Day, is in the throes of a heated contest. Crazy bachelors, insane dating profiles and just plain silliness! This is the ninth round of competition in the Saturday Comeback Challenge - a relatively new contest in the blogosphere that pits amateur comedians with seasoned funny guys to see who can come up with the best comeback lines. Want a Badge of Honor/Trophy to display on your site? Need fame and glory? Feeling brilliantly silly? Want to have a friendly game of wit with your blogger friends?
Former winners included Frank Sirianni from Honk 'n Hollr in Canada (Graffiti My Blog fame), Bud in New England (a very funny guy and expert lobster killer), the ever witty Epiphany Alone from New Jersey, Last Minute Lyn and comical Linda author of Are We There Yet? (who won her first time up to bat!)
