Monday Mimisms ~ The Holiday Rewind Show

Happy New Year! I'm back from Never NeverLand. I've put together a hodgepodge collection of random images in no order whatsoever from Christmas and New Year's. I tried to include a sliver of everything from the shopping to parties to sordid gossip and debauchery (there was no debauchery) but there were a few unexpected turns. Hang on.

What did Santa bring me?
This was enough.

Happily, the kids were obviously paying attention as well and gave me a programmable coffee maker. It is more complicated than my computer. But this means that every morning I can have a fresh pot waiting for me when I wake up and more time to primp. They know me so well.
Then there was the food and the candles and lots of laughter and hugs.

I apparently fooled St. Nick and found a blanket, mug warmer, mug, and a mini china tea set, towels, sheets, pots, pans (for cooking??) and makeup and hair accessories (that's more like it) under the tree.
Cards from blogger friends near and far and gifts too!
I am so blessed with friendship this year. Thank you friends.

This one nearly gave me a heart attack when I opened it and it sang to me. Boo!!!

Below we have Baby Boy's favorite ornament which he held gingerly for a photo shoot.

And then there was the SHOPPING. Lots and lots of antique shopping because I love to find unique one-of-a-kind items like these ......

And there was only that one international hat incident -
but we won't speak of it.

You do not want to know why I had to pretend to be a mannequin.
These earrings had something to do with it. They are mine mine all mine!
(A present from me to me. You do that, too, don't you??)
A boy and his piano. We played songs that sounded like cruise ship tunes and giggled and giggled.
The magic Santa cake showed up...Santa was hopefully looking in the other direction when someone caught this person with her finger in the cake. How utterly common of her.

Then there was Snow and ice in Bloggingham and I couldn't get to my mother's for Christmas. No one could. So we had Christmas in shifts later. Weird and strange.

New Year's Eve started out with a bang and ended with a fizzle. I got home in the middle of the night like any good self-respecting New Year's Eve -er should after a
Lovely peace prayer service here at midnight
and a date gone awry.  Remember him?
You do not want to know why I had to kick Mr. Smooth Talking Player to the  -
that's right -
curb

I just can't say it in church.
At least it was warm inside.
And a beautiful way to begin the New Year.

See you tomorrow in the year 2011.

I'm glad you had such a lovely holiday and Mr. Player certainly will not be missed when you have so many ways to surround yourself with love.
