Queen's Meme #23 ~ His Name Wasn't Jack

Baby, it's cold outside! I have snow on the brain and ice on the windshield. Ten and twenty degree temperatures doth not a happy Queen make. But I have plans to keep warm, that is, unless the power fails in which case I'm doomed. I really am in the midst of a snowstorm this week but many of you are not. You must get creative and use your imagination. It's a blog blizzard! I'm here to test your survival skills or at least make you laugh. Here's how it plays. Good luck.

1. An unexpected blizzard occurs. The power goes out for 10 days. There is no food in the house, no gas in the car, no heat, no TV, no computer, nada! You are snowed in and can't get to the store for supplies. How would you survive? How would you get out of this mess?

I would put on my boots and walk a mile in the snow to the neighbor's house.
They would take me in once I told them of my royal heritage.

2.
Tell us about your last snowball fight.
It was night. Me. Baby Boy. He won.
Man, that boy can throw.

3. You have been asked to make a snowman. What is his name?

Snowy Maloney. He's going to play Mafia Wars for me on Facebook. When the sun comes out he's history and no one is the wiser for the havoc he wreaks. It's a perfect plan.

4. I have mountains of snow outside my door. I would like to make snow soup. What is the recipe?

Two shoe boots of snow, one liter of vanilla flavoring, 2 cups of milk, 5 lbs of sugar, corn syrup and a gallon of whiskey. Hiccup.

5. It is Day 5 of the Big Blog Blizzard. You have been hunkered down for a very long time and in danger of losing your sanity. Your blog neighbors (that would be us) come callin' to see if you're OK. We peek in the window. What do we see?
What are you doing in there?

Blogging. What do you think?
Oh there's no electricity. Well, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

6. Who is the flakiest snowflake in your life?
Past or present.

I keep them in a special Flake File in my memory. Occasionally they walk by. I wave.
It's a good thing you can't read my thoughts.
Can you?

7. You are Snow White. Which dwarf is your favorite and why?

Let's see....there was ... Dopey. Mopey. Loopy. Snoopy. Creepy. Sleepy.
and John.
Creepy wasn't my favorite.

8. What is the most fun you've ever had inside during a snowstorm?

2005. Snow. Falling. Me. Falling. A blanket. A guy. A fire. Chinese food. Candles. Bubbles. Cold out. Chardonnay in. The world stopped.
I'll stop now.

9. What was Jack Frost nipping at?
.....ears....elbows. fingers. eggrolls. neck. toes. ears. and the occasional bubble......oh, I thought you said nibbling. My mind wandered to question #8.

I should have known better. His name wasn't Jack.

10. Due to blobal warming (that's blog + global for all you non-blog speakers) your snowman has prematurely melted. What was his last request?

A ticket to Iceland and out of this meme. First class.

A guy, a fire, chinese food ... Lust in six little words.

Jamie - Ha! And the eggrolls weren't bad either.

So that is what is in snow soup? Isn't that a tad too much vanilla?

Great answers!

OK I will do this one...

but the word verification has to go or the snowman feels the wrath of the blow-torch

I'm hungry. May I come over for soup? Ha!!

Mimi Lenox said...

Pam - You can never have too much vanilla.

Mimi Lenox said...

Vinny - I had to reinstate word verification because of evil spammers. It was driving me nuts. I'm sorry. Maybe they'll go away soon.

One can dream.

Can't wait to read your answers!

Bobby - Ummmmm....do you like bootleg whiskey?

#8 sounds like an interesting experience.

You leave me to assume that you and Jack Frost may have been romantically involved at one time ...

I like any kind of whiskey. Hehehe. I'm not tech savvy much, but I'm learning about memes, and links so I can be able to join your games, puzzles, etc. Just give me a little time. Beleive it or not, we have a lot in common. Question -- I've always wanted to know if any of those words in verification mean anything?

Mimi Lenox said...

Jean-Luc - Interesting, yes.

Mimi Lenox said...

Gal - How did you KNOW???!

Mimi Lenox said...

Bobby - Well, what was your word verification?

Vinny "Bond" Marini said...

tomorrow for the answers...Oh and I NAILED THIS ONE!

Your evening in sounds divine.... as does your snow soup recipe!

Mimi Lenox said...

Vinny - Why am I suddenly afraid?

Mimi Lenox said...

Mie - It really is a lovely memory.

Soup? I'll send some right over.

Speedy uses cell phone to book a flight to Vegas :-)

You should come with Mimi!

Mimi Lenox said...

Eric - What time do we leave?

Speedcat Hollydale said...

I'll pick you up at eight, wearing my blue tux :-)

Hug Hug

Mimi Lenox said...

Wheeeeeee!! I'll wear a blue pencil skirt to match your suit and we'll be ever so cute, oh... and bring my best tiara. But you'll have to teach me how to gamble. Maybe I should bring extra money for bail.
I get in trouble a lot ya know.

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Excellent ... I melt like a schoolboy when you wear a pencil skirt.
Trouble sounds fun, actually. Let's just plan on it

I notice that my comment didn't post. Probably an error on my part. Anydoodles, this verification word is phariol. Is that a bonafied word?

Mimi Lenox said...

Eric - Planned trouble is even better!

Mimi Lenox said...

Bobby - I am royalty and it is close to Pharaoh. It must mean something!

P.S. No clue why your comment wouldn't post. Very odd indeed.
