Premio Dardos Award and Six Men Of Integrity

The PREMIO DARDOS award is "given for recognition of cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values transmitted in the form of creative and original writing."
How lovely. Thank you.

Grateful for her constant friendship and loyalty well over 2 years now, I received this honor from Akelamalu (the Little Hawaiian girl who lives in United Kingdom). She writes
Everything and Nothing.
I have to say, though, there's never been a time I've been to her blog and found "nothing" there. She's awesome! Her Friday Flash Fiction entries are flashy (and sometimes flirty) masterpieces. She's quite the wordsmith. There are no rules to this award. I can escape unscathed...or something like that.

Go on with your grass skirt self, Miss Akalamalu-who-will-soon-be-having-a-momentous-birthday. She'll be at least 30 and proud of it.
Did I hear something about a cruise?

You are going to stow me away in your suitcase again, right? I so enjoyed our vacation in Greece last time!

I'd like to give give this award to six male bloggers I consider of high moral fiber and stellar character. They are gentlemen. The real deal.
Full of integrity. Conviction. Hutzpah.
I am proud to call them my bloggie friends.

1. Jeff @ A Word In Edgewise who strives to be the best father and husband he can be, always pushing himself creatively and intellectually with words
2. Travis @ Trav's Thoughts who is learning to share his writing gifts and passions in outspoken and brave ways full of conviction - like this gem... "...honor is in the act of service rather than the type of service" from Thirteen Things The Women In My Life Have Taught Me. His lovely lady and Mr. Tucker are lucky indeed.
3. Mojo @ Why? What Have You Heard? who delights in acknowledging the talents and gifts of others. His camera lens finds magic.
4. Ferd @ The Best Parts who is married to a real-life Princess named Gail and one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet.
5. Nick @ Nick's Bytes who brings to my attention, pastoral promises (sometimes read between the lines), laughter, freedom songs, truth and courage. Who sitteth at his right hand? Alexicon The Cat. Of course.
6. Lee at Tarheel Ramblings whose new baby granddaughter, Lily, inspired a beautiful tribute of peace. He paints with light and words. Truly, he does.

They make me believe that there are still good guys left in this crazy world.

Darn, now I'm going to have to give up cyber-stalking. :0)

Seriously, I am honored, Mimi. In many ways, I've always known that I'm kind of a throw-back to earlier times. It is important that I be perceived as a gentleman, and I try to conduct myself that way. It's nice to have that effort recognized.

Well at least I feel safe in the idea that I won't be featured in "Dating Profile of the Day"!

But seriously, I'm only familiar with one of the blogs you mentioned (besides my own) at the moment, but your recommendation is good enough for me. So I'll be remedying that soon. To be mentioned in such company is an honor of humbling proportion. Dhanyevaad meri rani, bahut dhanyevaad|.*

And as you already know, I think you're eminently worthy of every accolade you receive, so it's no surprise that Akelamalu selected you for this one. But let me add my congratulations to those you've already gotten. Well done, Your Majesty. And I'm certain there will be many more going forward.

*(For English speaking audiences: "Thank you my Queen, thank you very much." Sorry... but it just sounds so cool in Hindi!)

Mimi, thank you very, very much for the kind words! They mean a lot coming from you! And I am honored to be included in the bunch you mentioned. I don't know them all yet, mainly just my eBrother Lee, but I will be paying an unannounced visit to their sites one of these days!

Now I feel like I have to live up to something. Damn!
I mean, Darn!
