I'm Going To Be A Cowgirl

"I'm going to live in the West."
"Why, Baby Boy?"
"'Cause I'm going to be a cowboy.
"
"But why do you have to live in the West?"

"Cause that's where the cowboys live."
"So you're gonna move far far away from me......?"

"No."

"No?"

"You have to live in the West too."

Life is so simple when you're four.

Can I be 4 for a little while?

Ferd said...

Well, if you do, then you could wrangle some peace sense into Wyoming and the Dakota twins!

Mike - And I'd have to learn to ride a horse in a pencil skirt.

Julie - Of course! It's fun!

Ferd - You do have a point.
North Dakota did show up, finally!

When my brother was born, I was four. I asked in all seriousness 'Will he have a real face or a plastic face?'

I still say we should let kids rule the world. Who doesn't want desert first?

Mimi Lenox said...

Ciara - Exactly! The two of you would get along famously. Do you live in the West too?

Mimi Lenox said...

Crushed - That is hysterical.

Mimi Lenox said...

Anndi - Honestly, they do have the simplest of common sense values. How did we lose them as we got more "mature"???

Desert for everybody! Mimi's kitchen is open!
Oh. That's how.

Can I go with you? I was born in Wyoming and have family there. Maybe they could help round up some horses! :0) I'm sure my dog, Maggie, would love to chase cows or something. And Mrs. Rambler could have a bigger garden.

I know! We'll start a commune!

My wife tells me that I act like a four year old and, interestingly enough, we had a similar conversation recently ;)

That is a classic! Very funny...

I think that adults would have a easier time soemtimes if they saw the world with the luster of a 4 year old.

I always wanted to be a cowboy. I guess I kind of was growing up on a farm, just without the horse.

I would like to be four again...such an easy life. BUT I think being a cowgirl would be more fun.

Lee - I can see it now. Blog Commune: The New Reality Show...

Mimi Lenox said...

Mark- We should all act like four-year-olds occasionally....at least once a day.

Mimi Lenox said...

Bud- He is hysterical. Thanks.

Mimi Lenox said...

Queen - You can say that again...

Mimi Lenox said...

Charles - My uncle had a mule named Sally....does that count?

Mimi Lenox said...

Shannon - I'm investigating the cowgirl thing. It might work for me.

Margo Moon said...

You're already one of the rootin'est tootin'est cowgirls I know!

That Baby Boy sure does love you.

Mimi Lenox said...

And I adore him, Margo.

Vinny "Bond" Marini said...

Did you slap your thigh...throw back your head...and yell 'YEEEEHAWWWW"?

DID YA??? HUH?

Mimi Lenox said...

Bond - That is not appropriate behavior for a pencil skirt, Sir.

Life is so simple when you're 4. :)

Mimi Lenox said...

Akelamalu - How I wish I could move through my life that unencumbered today. I think he might be onto something...

So cute.

Now would you sew fringe onto the hem of your pencil skirt?

Desert Songbird said...

Live can be pretty simple in the West, Mimi. You might want to try a taste sometime. *grin*

If those chicks in the Westerns can ride in those dresses they wore, I'm sure you can manage it in a pencil skirt.

Course, you'd probably have to ride sidesaddle...
