Peach is a wonderful thing, only soldiers can secure it.

I also believe right-thinking men of conviction can secure PEACE...

But that is just me

We honor the Veterans and Military of the USA and Canada today on THE COUCH

Yes, a day to remember. And soldiers are still dying.

Sarge - Our viewpoints may differ but my respect stays the same.
Thank you for your service to our country and those who continue to be in harm's way.

I couldn't have said it better. This does not diminish the sacrifices and bravery of those who died to keep us free.

Charles - Soldiers all over the world. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Godspeed the day we live in peace on this planet. I believe it is possible.

Yes, Godspeed for Peace! This Veteren's Day is more special to me than others as I found out something that My Daddy Never Told Me. I invite you and others to stop by if you are so inclined.

This day is a day where we can all feel a kinship and hopefully we will strive for Peace together.

My everlasting gratitude to the men and women who have served, and to those that continue to serve their countries in the hope that freedom will ring for all.

Lest we forget.

I pray for the day when we have no further need of the services of the monument builders. When the concept of war is considered archaic.

Until then, we must remain mindful of those who have fallen, and who are falling even now. It is their memories that will hopefully keep our baser natures in check until we can learn better.

The active pursuit of Peace is the ultimate form of honoring those who've sacrificed for lack of it.

Very thoughtful as always, Mimi.

Amen to that. And wonderfully stated.

Is speechless once again. You said it all for me, Mimi.

Autumn - Peace and respect. The words of the day.

Something about having the blogblast for peace tucked in between the election and Veteran's Day just intensifies the effort even more.

Shouldn't that sign have had an apostrophe?

Just wondering......I've seen it all over the blogosphere and I thought the day was dedicated to the veteran.

Hmmm.....
