Cap'n Dyke Lesbian Pirate Queen and Rogue Blogger
from her June 4th peace post......
".....greed leads to selfishness which leads to violence which grew up one bleak day in the long past to become war. War is the result of wanting what someone else has that you want – be it oil or potatoes or oil or gold or oil or land or oil. Note the recurring word here. I mean that. Note how the liquid remains of our ancestors and their dinosaur neighbors are never far from you – literally. Think hard on the fact that greed and selfishness for these liquid remains has led to the most sanitized war in history; men on both sides of the Atlantic schemed as surely and as evilly as any James Bond villain to make certain-sure that oil is the fistful of grapes, the seashells of today – which I guess does lead us back to Hsub and his evil friends. Damn.

Need a reason to fly a peace globe?

Hi Mimi,Blogblaster,
good luck fighting the good fight.
From afar I cannot see the nuances in US politics clearly. These days it seems that everyone and every side are armed to their teeth with good arguments.

I find people of all colors (red & blue in particular) likable.
Being engaged is fine, being lukewarm and indifferent kills democracy.
