Update: It's Killin' Me

Not really. I just wanted to complain. This update doesn't really matter to the rest of the free world but I thought if I posted it, I'd be accountable at least to me when I had to see it again.
But Homer is not happy. Not at all.

In an effort to improve my health and well-being I challenged myself (
on my blog) to do six things more consistently over the course of the next two weeks: Meditate, Walk, TaeBo Workout, 6 bottles of water, Healthier Food Choices, Get 6-7 hours of sleep each night.... Oh yeah. OK OK! I'll admit it! The real goal is to hold on to that size 6 petite I've been wearing forever and a day. WhatEVER.
But won't it improve my health if I'm not grouchy about the poof in my pencil skirt? The things women have to do to stay pointy sharp and prissy these days.
And I'm getting soooo cranky already.

How am I doing?
Tuesday: The GOOD - 50 minute walk, 30 minute TaeBo workout, 20 minute weights and abs

The Bad: Baked lasagne for lunch (with salad!)and then there was the garlic bread...2 bottles of water

Wednesday: The GOOD: Quiet time was quiet!
50 minute walk, 30 minute Taebo workout, 20 minute weights and abs
REST: GREAT NAP in the middle of American Idol. I have the unbelievably sad results show to thank.

Food - Cottage cheese/pineapples/1 apple, 2 oranges, carrots, chicken salad sandwich, no sugar
3 bottles of water

The Bad: a small bag of potato chips

I was so busy saving my arteries I didn't even have time to talk to my dog Homer. ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more

Hush Homer...

Thursday: The Good - Quiet time was interrupted by (you guessed it) Homer. He wanted to talk about his "blove life." I had nothing better to do so I listened. He's given me plenty of advice before I'll tell ya....

50 minute walk, 30 minute kick butt Taebo workout (no soreness at all), 20 minutes abs and weights

Cottage cheese/pineapple/blueberry yogurt, an orange and a banana for snack and a salad for lunch (dinner remains to be seen or eaten) ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more

Even my dog is cursing.

The Bad: 2 bottles of water (I'm already tired of water) and 5 oz of caffeinated Pepsi because I started to get a migraine when an inconsiderate person drenched herself in perfume and wafted by me in the hall.
I wanted to say, "Less is more, Lady!"

Can't she tell I'm cranky?

SLEEP: overall much better. OK. Going to fix dinner now....and to hide the snack food from Homer. He steals all the good stuff while I'm meditating with the universe.

That dog is getting on my nerves......
Cheetos don't count as fruit..... do they? They're orange.

I'd say you're doing pretty well. You are getting enough exercise that the carbs in that lasagna won't hurt too much.

Cheetos are a food group in and of themselves.

"Chee" short for cheese- part of the dairy group.

"tos" short for tomato- part of the vegetable group, or is that the fruit group. I never remember about tomatoes.

There you have it, two food groups with one little orange snack. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Guys...I'm so thrilled to learn that cheetos are one of the basic food groups. Who KNEW?!

Cheetos are loaded with cheese, which is loaded with protein and calcium.

Everybody knows that.

You are doing well. I am going back to my personal trainer in April. I hate to do it but she pushes me to be really tone...and my butt looks so good after she finishes with me, but the pain. Oh what we ladies go through! But I try to get 8 or 9 hours sleep a night. I am a true beauty rest believer in that is what has kept me from aging like my friends but it is hard to even get 7 anymore!

I can completely understand. I have a hard time figuring out which is worse: a me that is unhappy because of how I look or a me that is unhappy because I'm denying myself the stuff I actually like to eat. (Carrots are evil.)

I've never heard of cheetos and I know all the bad foods, so cheetos must be good! :)

Mimi you are doing great. You have to eat if you're active. Well, you have to eat if you're not active but for the level of exercise you are getting I think you're doing great calorie wise. I'm trying to get more exercise myself although my size six clothes are under a guest room bed. What fits is in my room, what may fit soon is in the guest room closet and drawers. What will probably never fit again is under the guest room bed in boxes which is where the size 6 clothes are in my house.

I think it's time for that rubber room. Smirnoff is made from nutricious grains and it has no salt! Try some...

That was funny. My laughter increased as I kept reading. I'm still laughing.

I needed that.

Thanks,

"50 minute walk, 30 minute TaeBo workout, 20 minute weights and abs"

Even half of that would leave me unable to do anything else...

(Repeats to self: must be more active... must be more active... must be more active)

You can't beat yourself up over the so-called bad, Mimi. You still have to live a little.

I applaud your efforts. The only consistent thing about me are my inconsistencies. - grin.
