OK. This Is Not Funny.

Later today, when I wake up properly from having no sleep again and sleeping the morning away because yet another disturbance here last night kept me from doing so, I will post the story I was writing in the middle of the night when the big-noise-bigger-than-anything-I've-ever-heard-outside-my-house occurred and I spent until the wee hours talking to the police. AGAIN. If this is some kind of test, God, then I'd like to remove myself from the class immediately and drop the course. Thank You very much.

Mimi, it's best to call the police when you suspect something. Even if it turns out to be nothing. Don't ever make excuses for being scared; you've been through a very traumatic experience.

Hang in there.

You know, this weirdo could very well be reading your blog and now is trying to scare you silly. Not that you aren't that far off already. Go back to your mantra:

This person, whoever he is, and whatever possessed this person to do such a thing, knows no peace.

And I'll be damned if he's going to steal mine.

Sandee's right. The creep knows no peace.

He also doesn't have the caring friends you have, Mimi. I'm sorry this awful stuff is happening to you.

Oh my. Glad to hear you called the police, did they have any idea what it was?

Get a dog. A big dog. With big teeth. A big dog with big teeth and a big appetite. A big appetite for strangers who trespass.

Mimi: I'm so sorry you are going through all of this. I agree with all of the comments so far. Do NOT let this cretin rob you of your peace, tranquility and sense of well-being.

But an alarm system and dog are not bad ideas. A very NOISY dog with an appetite for human leg would do nicely. :-)

Oh Mimi - I´m so sorry to hear this.
I like Linda´s idea of getting a huge dog. We´ve had burglars many moons ago and I sleep much better since the Furry Diva lives with us. She doesn´t behave like a diva when she´s needed, you know...

I agree, go for the canine who will plant their jaws into the rump of said perp...

Guys - I do have an alarm system. A good one. I did not turn it on when I left that day. Arghh..!! But have had more features already installed. And cameras.

I'm envisioning a huge, dark, ferocious, mean, nasty, horrible, robber-eating canine who loves to eat thief flesh one painful bite at a time. And then curls up at my feet and keeps me company at night.
But back to the vision.....He barks at every sound, every twig, every smell that isn't me. He hates thieves more than anything in dogworld and can smell one a mile away. He's poised. Ready to attack. M.E.A.N.
Did I say mean?

I think I'll name him Pookie.

You can name them Pookie and CupCAKE.

It is said that adversity creates character...or something like that.

You're a VERY interesting character!

Little by little peace will be bigger and bigger.

Okay?
