Fairy Dust On My Blog

A mystery.

I found this waiting in my BlogLog Message box today from The Blog Fairy!

[Private] Congratulations! You have touched people with your writing. You are a blue-ribbon blogger! YOUR BADGE
-

WOW. I'm speechless.
A blog fairy?! Hmmmmm....Wonder who it is. Which blogger? Do I know you? Are you hiding behind a familiar face? Thank you - whomever you are! Mysterious little thing, you are. You have your own BlogLog account, I noticed. So listen, friends. I put on my sleuthing skirt and set out to find her/him.

Be on the lookout for a blue face with wings. Got it.
The last time I dealt with a fairy I found a dollar under my pillow when I lost a tooth. I was seven. Then I became a fairy when my own child played the disgusting and unsanitary game of leave-your-tooth-under-the-pillow and wait for mom to leave five-dollars. Inflation.
I much prefer this beautiful little blue ribbon. But who IS the blog fairy?
This is what I've found out thus far. She calls herself Francesca and this is her profile: (Am I good or what?)

About Me : I keep watch over all the blogs and bloggers in the vast blogosphere. It is my joy to shine light on those that show love and kindness and to honor them.
Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the disheveled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.
~ William Butler Yeats, "The Land of Heart's Desire," 1894
Name: Francesca
Sex: Female

So there you have it. But not to worry. Pencil Skirt is on the case. But I won't lose much sleep over it. Anyone who quotes Yeats is alright with me. And thank you, Miss Francesca The Fairy. You've made my day! And I promise that even if I discover your identity, I won't tell.

It'll be our little blecret (that's blog + secret) - we wouldn't want you to lose your wings.

When our daughter was about 5 I bought a framed print of "The Rose-Bay Willow Herb Fairy" running through an idyllic-looking setting that to me looked just like her, except for the wings.
The print is still in the same place on the wall, all these years later.

When you find that fairy could you ask her to send the cleaning fairy to my house?

You deserve this greatly, Ms. Mimi...

Patti - How sweet. I know that is precious to you.

Jennifer - Yes, just as soon as she cleans my house. Love to see your face here again!

The Blue Fairy visited my blog last week and left me the same badge which I thought was just wonderful and sweet. You obviously have better sleuthing skills than I as all I could find was her page and not even a name. Nice to know that she has a lovely name to go along with her lovely gestures!

Very well deserved, Mimi!
If the blue fairy appears again... could you please tell her I´ve got one milktooth left... I mean, hey... I´m 34... and I´ve got a milktooth...

Mysteries in the bloggosphere? Hmmmm. Glad to see you on the case though. I'll sleep better for it.

Well, I would if it would cool off just a tad. Time to bump that fan up another setting.

And this award is very well deserved.

Mimi, I forgot to say your award is richly deserved ;-)

Linda - She is mysterious but I think she should probably remain so. Don't you?

Crazy Working Mom - Thank you, my dear. I am truly honored.

Sanni - 34? You're such a baby!!! I'll send her right over (if she shows up again)
