Making a Peace Globe Just Got Easier

What happens when an idea becomes something bigger than your wildest dreams?

That's just what has happened with Dona Nobis Pacem in the Blogosphere - the Peace Globe initiative I began October 12, 2006 with this article
; except, I had no idea at the time it would snowball into the most exciting project I've ever been involved in. So, what happens when the work becomes overwhelming?

Bloggers step in to help.

Help came from "across the pond" in East Sussex, United Kingdom this week. Without my asking, Annelisa, author and photographer of Words That Flow
designed two separate posts to help bloggers make their own globes. She wrote two articles with step-by-step easy instructions complete with illustrations (!) so that anyone can learn how to sign or draw whatever they please on a globe and then teaches us how to put it in the sidebar. It must have taken her hours and hours to do this. I really can't thank her enough. All from her new site called How To Link and Other Stuff you will find......

Making Your Own Peace Globe
Putting Your Peace Globe in The Sidebar

also read for inspiration her post last Friday called "Is This What You Want?" Just beautiful.

Here are a few examples of the work she did. It is a sequential step-by-step easy-to-understand process! Be sure to visit the links above and get the full instructions. Isn't it incredible?

Annelisa - You rock! Bloggers everywhere thank you!

And by the way, did you know this effervescent woman now has those amazing photographs for sale? Click here for more shots and information. I'm planning to purchase at least one for my studio. Here's a sample of her artistic eye for beauty through the lens. Ahhh.........now that's peaceful.

Got a reminder of the Peace Globes up on my blog, seemed fitting in light of the V.T. tragedy this week.

That's great! I had trouble with getting the peace globe sized properly for my sidebar. I finally figured it out, but that's what took me so long to get it posted.

Thanks for the great post, Mimi!

It's your enthusiasm that's catching, my friend...keep going like this, and the whole blogosphere will be chattering!

Re the 'How-to' posts: I have to warn you, though, having read through the first post again, I realise there might be people who aren't familiar with a paint program... if they leave a comment with their problem, I should be able to get back to them with help... either that, or just play, play, play until you find what you want! :-D

(Oh, and sorry to you other folks I didn't get these posts done before..)

Have a lovely, relaxing Sunday, Mimi!
