16 Reasons Mimi is Not Amused

1. Blogger will not let me post my own photograph.

2. The Blogger gods say "your file is too big."

3. I am taking this personally.

4. Penal Code #666 clearly states that PPS (public photograph slander) is against the law.

5. I intend to take this to the highest court in the blogosphere as soon as I finish my novel.

6. My novel is not getting written because I'm hurling unQueen-like (and unladylike) insults at my computer after spending two hours last night retaking shots and resizing myself. How humiliating.

7. It took an hour to load my photograph which further aggravated me - and it was only half my face.

8. I had to remove the earrings and retake the picture.

9. File still too big.

10. Sigh.

11. I broke a nail unscrewing the back of the earring.

12. NOW I have grounds for a lawsuit.

13. Hell hath no fury like a writer with a broken cuticle.

14. I am further annoyed because none of my blogger friends came to search for me once the other half face went missing.

15. Not even the cats.

16. I finally slipped this photograph in by wearing lightweight sunglasses.

If anyone can tell me how to get the top pic in the profile portion of my blog, I'd be much obliged.

Mims is not amused.
And her finger hurts.

Mimi, I have been so frustrated with purely mechanical elements of blogging. If you switch to beta, it's pretty easy to get your picture in the profile and the header area. But you gotta make the switch. By the way I really loved the wrathful cuticle line.

Ohhhh, your half-face is even more beautiful when you're angry. The Blogger gods should be ashamed of themselves for causing you such distress (and a broken nail to boot).

Good luck!

Queen Mimi: I absolutely adore your funky photo with the sunglasses and gorgeously manicured nails. Beeeeyooootiful! Stud muffin Reynaldo just might do a doubletake. ;p

Hey Mimi, thanks so much for visiting my little Moroccan blog! But yours is so much cooler than mine ...I am loving the pics of you.

(PS And I had no idea I was commenting on Lizza's blog in the Philippines. Really?! Maybe it was Gem's blog.)

You may not be happy but 'you look mahvelous'

I had a similar problem before also. Put your picture in you blog, hit the html, copy the code and try putting that in the profile. If that doesn't work, open your picture in Microsoft paint, ( I have difficultly here keeping from giving myself clown hair or a red nose) but save the picture as a paint file and that will shrink it also. then put it in your profile.

I gave up, after much simular frustrations, on putting a pic in my profile. I went with a snippit of the fabric I used to make my kitchen curtains.

Mimi, deary sweetie honey, QUIT DELAYING AND GET OFF THY QUEENLY BACKSIDE AND WRITE!!! Sorry, someone has got to tell you.

I can't say I know how to solve your blog issues, but I was able to mentally piece together a full facial image of you by mending the halfs of both pictures. :)

Just passing thru, nice blog.

Mimi...great look!

My question is, did you reduce the resolution of the file so it is smaller in size? It sounds like it is not a width, height size thing...it is a file size thing..try changing the picture to 80dpi

Gem, I have not made the big Beta switch yet but intend to after NaNo. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks, Lizza. I hope I don't look too angry in my photo. That would not be a good thing.

Irene....I completely forgot about stud muffin! That young illegal thing is but distant eye candy. Sigh. And thanks for the compliment.

Maryam....Maybe I was thinking of Gemmolina's blog. In any case, I'm glad to find you and learn more about you. I hope to read more of your colorful posts soon. Thanks for visiting.

Sgt Dub.....Thanks, I will try again. I think Gem may be right about switching to Beta.

Jan...Yes, someone needed to tell me. You are right and I have been writing. The word count is below par but I'm trying not to stress about it. Only roughly 38,000 to go in 15 days. Oh Lord.

Alphawoman...Thank you. Click, click, click as I type and not so good for playing the piano but I'm too vain to stop the manicures.

Mimi Lenox said...

Thanks, Epiphany! I will try that. Appreciate your expert advice and thanks for visiting.

Madd...Thanks for the compliments. I hope I look mysterious and not angry (as Lizza said). But flirty and mischievous....yes, that's me.

b-flx...Thanks for visiting and do come back. Well, I guess I wasn't thinking that someone might meld the two photos together. Very clever. Ha ha.

Mimi Lenox said...

Thank you, Bond. I will try to reduce the file.

Yaxlich is going to stop using the Internet unless it allows a full frontal shot of Mimi.

Her face, obviously.

Potty brains...

Ok mimi, I finally checked out the nano site, yeah I know slow. Anyway, being the eternal joiner and late starter that I am....I signed up! OMG, I gotta get busy... rack em frack em

Yaxlich....You're such a funny guy. Ha ha ha. But seriously, you'd think a Queen could get better treatment.

JAN! Welcome to the madness. We will cheer each other on. I promise to check on you - and your word count everyday - for moral support. Just get some really strong coffee and expect insomnia. I'll be here for you.

Oh.... Mimi - for practical purposes I think "the novel" is developing as you post!

So-sorry-No-tech-help from moi - no way - totally challenged in that area, just up there with crochet and knitting

Never figured out the profile photo thing, that's why I have cute icon, neither did I - after numerous trials - managed to use the side bar and enter the links to my beloved blogger friends!

See, we all have our share of (secret) blogger drama going on ...
sniff-sniff-sniiiiff

Hope your cuticule gets well soon!!!

miss mimi, we are furry sorry we have not been visiting you, but we had our job to do--taking good care of our mom, who has had a rotten siege of bronchitis. she has finally gotten back to work today. we monitored our page, though, and read your get-well message to her. she was so happy to hear it, sad that she could not respond, and now thanks you very much.

we hopes we will be more lively on the blog scene from this day forward, although we agree that blogger is . . . uh . . . problematical at best. we have learned many new words as mom has tilted at the windmills of blogger, html, xml, and all things bloggish.

we sends you kitty nose-kisses, and promises not to be away so long again (we hope)!
